Great food and hospitality

First night of our holiday we wanted to eat out for dinner and chose the Garrack as it was about 100m away. What a great choice, fabulous local sourced food, cooked well and imaginatively. Great service, Even lit a fire for us to enjoy our wine at the end of evening. Will be going back for more!

Check out the tonight's specials menu. The food was great, the wine very good and the service excellent, the prices reasonable. We enjoyed it so much we choose to have dinner in the restaurant again and we couldn't fault a thing,

varied evening menu and superbly cooked. I changed the menu around a bit but it was no trouble to the Chef. Breakfast was also good - individually cooked and hot with first class ingredients.

We were stopping at ayr holiday park and the guests have use of the garrack's facilities so we thought we would try the restaurant on our first night. The restaurant seemed very formal and quiet but we asked to see the menu anyway. The menu was very high class so we settled for a steak instead of moving elsewhere. I... More

We went there for our 15-year anniversary dinner with my husband during the festive break in January. The restaurant has great views of St. Ives and is at unique location. We had three courses a la carte and enjoyed after dinner drinks by the fire. We will return for sure! Thank you for a great evening.

It would be unfair to say I wouldn't recommend eating here....The food was good, staff were friendly, the views are lovely and it's very clean. As previous reviews have mentioned - the place is in need of a facelift but it's certainly not a big issue. There was however an issue with the atmosphere....or lack thereof. It is a very... More

Visited for Sunday lunch as we were staying at Ayr Caravan Park (who apparently now own the Garrack hotel). Nice enough inside, could probably do with a lick of paint but we weren't eating the decor! The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious and plenty of it and the dessert was a surprising delight-cold rice pudding-delicious! No draught... More

I have been to the Garrack for a number of years now, when we come down to St Ives for our annual holidah. The Garrack never fails to empress me. I absolutely love it! The food, service and ambiance are outstanding. Truly one of the best restaurants in St Ives

Daily special of whole baked Dover sole, almost definitely frozen and mushy flesh with no taste. Would have expected fish to be fresh. Luckily this was not typical of the other restaurants we ate in on the remaining eves of our break.
