Unwelcoming and offhand waitresses. Went inside to be served and was eventually told that I would be served at my table. Went back to my table and shortly afterwards three waitresses came out and began clearing tables and then stopped to chat. Completely ignored by all three waitresses, one of whom had been very snotty when I had spoken to... More

We stumbled across this cafe and we were attracted by the beautiful plates of food being scoffed by the diners outside. The staff were super friendly and made a fuss of our 5 yr old son. Delicious food, we had hummus salad and crab and prawn salad too followed by choccy cake a bake well cake too (works of art... More

Hidden away down back streets means you need to make an effort to find it - but well worth it. Very friendly and efficient staff, decent menu and the best scones and clotted cream we had in Cornwall. Nice quite spot - definitely visit again

Really gorgeous little cafe, my favourite place for Coffee ! Had a great coffee and amazing cake both times we visited. Would love it if they also did Soya milk as a little intolerant to dairy but no real problem. Can't wait to try the Thursday evening which specialises in Asian food !

Doesn't come any better than that. Lovely fresh crab salad washed down with some Cornish Orchards Gold finished off with the biggest treacle tart with Cornish cream you could imagine. Wife's melon special was also great and the kids were well catered for.

Dropped in when wandering around in a very hot and busy day in St Ives. Found it a perfect spot to watch the world go by whilst enjoying a nice coffee. At £2 a go, not too bad on price (Americano- black). Service was good too.

Stopped off for a bite to eat and ended up with a full-blown meal!! I ordered the Cornish blue, broccoli & red onion quiche with salad. The Salad was fresh & tasty, but the quiche was truly amazing! A huge, rectangular chunk, full of flavour, (not at all greasy, as some home made quiches can be) and really filling. The... More

Our first visit to Olives. We both chose the seafood/ melon served with salad. Super lunch, excellent service, very filling- no seagulls. This was very good value so we called a second time. We had different lunches, being later in the day, we had cheese sandwiches and cream tea. Again very pleased.

Craving a Cornish cream tea, we spotted a sign for Olives and went in. It was really busy which was a good sign but the waitress wasn't particularly welcoming and we waiting for a good few minutes at the door before she came over to see us. We ordered sandwiches and cream teas for afters. The sandwich was okay although... More

We visited here last week, had a lovely lunch. Really lovely staff, great food (nice presentation, not your usual limp lettuce with a few crisps) food comes with fruit (huge chunks of pineapple and orange) and salad (that is green and fresh and lovely!) Cakes looked lush but we were so stuffed from salady goodness we didn't have room. Effortlessly... More
