Dropped in here this afternoon for coffee. Decided to sit inside as it was very blustery outside. Inside you can see the guy preparing coffee and tea. As we sat drinking our coffee i was naturally watching him and was horrified to watch him running his hands through his hair and over his face several times and then handling the... More

we spent quite some time in St. Ives. In this time, the Olives Cafe was somehow like our summer lunch place. over the month, we stayed about once per week in the Olives Cafe and enjoyed it always very much. The food is great, just perfect to have a light lunch, the choice of cakes for a dessert is excellent.... More

Not on the sea front, a massive 50 yards away! And well worth a visit if you can get in. It seats about eight tables upstairs. All very homely and accommodating. The food was.........like your Mum would do it. Reasonable prices.

Unwelcoming and offhand waitresses. Went inside to be served and was eventually told that I would be served at my table. Went back to my table and shortly afterwards three waitresses came out and began clearing tables and then stopped to chat. Completely ignored by all three waitresses, one of whom had been very snotty when I had spoken to... More

We stumbled across this cafe and we were attracted by the beautiful plates of food being scoffed by the diners outside. The staff were super friendly and made a fuss of our 5 yr old son. Delicious food, we had hummus salad and crab and prawn salad too followed by choccy cake a bake well cake too (works of art... More

Hidden away down back streets means you need to make an effort to find it - but well worth it. Very friendly and efficient staff, decent menu and the best scones and clotted cream we had in Cornwall. Nice quite spot - definitely visit again

Really gorgeous little cafe, my favourite place for Coffee ! Had a great coffee and amazing cake both times we visited. Would love it if they also did Soya milk as a little intolerant to dairy but no real problem. Can't wait to try the Thursday evening which specialises in Asian food !

Doesn't come any better than that. Lovely fresh crab salad washed down with some Cornish Orchards Gold finished off with the biggest treacle tart with Cornish cream you could imagine. Wife's melon special was also great and the kids were well catered for.

Dropped in when wandering around in a very hot and busy day in St Ives. Found it a perfect spot to watch the world go by whilst enjoying a nice coffee. At £2 a go, not too bad on price (Americano- black). Service was good too.
