More than a tea shop

Although I actually had a cream tea plus nicked half of my partners Victoria Sponge the menu was very interesting and extensive and I wish we had time to go back. Scone was a great texture, warmed with loads of great cream and jam. Sponge was to die for. Partner also said his crab sandwich was... read more

Great little shop. Very nice friendly staff. The food is wonderful. Crab sandwiches are the best. They don't mind tweeking the menu to your own taste. I love visiting this shop, And,,,, you must try their Cream Tea. Perfect!!!

The Tea Room offers some different dishes to many of the others in St Ives and is definitely worth a visit. My guinea fowl on a spinach salad was the most delicious dish I have had in a long time. It is a small restaurant and booking for dinner was essential.

Was at this restaurant in May. Lovely food with excellent service. Ordered food just about when it was gonna close but the owner still entertained us.

After being treated appallingly in another establishment, my family and I decamped and went to The Tea Room instead where the experience couldn't have been more different. Polite, courteous staff and service with a smile - it helped that the cream teas were delicious too! Thoroughly delicious and a really good experience - they must be good as others were... More

Stopped for a bite to eat. Stunning ham sandwich. Gorgeous crab salad - loads of white crab meat - delicious citrus mayonnaise. Friendly staff. Good coffee. Scones were very popular - some guests re-ordering!

A beautiful view over the Harbour and I was made to feel welcome as a solo diner. I had pan fried guinea fowl with a Middle Eastern style salad of spinach, onions and almonds with flatbread croutons nicely flavoured with sumac and pomegranate molasses. I followed this with a lovely lemon posset which came in a retro tea cup. Generous... More

Great menu, great food and great friendly service. It is only a small place and has lovely views over the harbour, we had the hommity pie and the mackerel fillets, both dishes nicely presented and tasted wonderful, very friendly staff offered help with wine choices. It was very busy with people waiting for tables but we were not rushed at... More

Seeking a proper Cornish cream tea my boyfriend and I took refuge from the wet and windy bank holiday weekend weather at The Tea Room. We certainly weren't disappointed! Perfect scones straight out the oven and a good helping of cream and jam. Really lovely atmosphere and great views of the harbour. Fully recommend!

Three of us went to the Tea Room last night for dinner. Initially I had avoided the tea room thinking it was only a lunch time venue and assuming it would not be a good evening venue. I was wrong. This place has a fantastic, delicious and inventive evening menu and is easily one of if not the best evening... More
