The Seagrass is a super restaurant in terms of ambiance, food and staff standards. The experience for the diner is of a modern, Now type environment with extremely pleasant and professional service. The menu was adventurous yet everything was beautifully cooked and served. Fish Street in St Ives is definitely the place to go for quality food

We ate at Seagrass tonight after booking a table at the last minute. We turned up at 5:30 with 3 tired, hungry children and it could have gone either way. As it was we had an excellent time. The food was fantastic, the children's options were imaginative and perfectly cooked and the staff were lovely - even changing our daughter's... More

We booked for a group of 19 friends and family in the week leading up to our wedding. The booking process was excellent thanks to Julia and we communicated effectively in order to make the ordering and paying as smooth as possible, which can be difficult for a large group. We were warmly welcomed on our arrival and all ordering... More

We left the restaurant very disappointed on Friday night. As returning customers for the fifth year running, we thought we'd saved the best until last, but it seems things have changed. We began with starters, which were just OK, I had the crab and crayfish cocktail, but the combinations were a little odd and the texture of the mousse was... More

Seagrass is a must when in St Ives should you be looking for a fine dining experience and a restaurant with a good variety of seafood and interesting wine list that won't break the bank. Waiting staff delightful and attentive. Intimate atmosphere if only it had a seafront view....

On our trip to St Ives we visited the Seagrass restaurant. We started with the Crab and Crayfish and pork rillettes starters. Both starters were ok, although the rillettes were more like pulled pork than rillettes I have purchased elsewhere. For the main we chose the seafood platter for two and whilst it was a large dish of seafood, it... More

I have now been to Seagrass twice, it's swiftly become a tradition to visit each time I go down to St. Ives! Absolutely delicious food (their wild mushroom and parmesan gnocchi is in my top 3 favourite dishes I've ever eaten) at a very good price, as little as £17 for 2 courses or £20 for 3 - taking into... A real little gem, so glad we found this restaurant! It was the best meal of our week in Cornwall. We had the glazed beetroot, orange and halloumi salad with the Crayfish cocktail to start, amongst a few oysters on the side. Followed by the seafood risotto and mussels. The seafood was fresh and tasty and all meals were very... More

Friends and our B&B owners recommended this restaurant. It's up a street from the harbour and you may need to make a reservation. The food was very tasty, and the staff were available when required but not pushy.

We ate at Seagrass midweek in early July. The staff were delightful, the food was delicious. The restaurant is on the first floor and bijou it was fully booked but did not feel claustrophobic. There was plenty of choice, the fixed price - 2 courses for £16.95 and 3 courses £19.95 option from the main menu and was exceptional value; although... More
