Visited many times for a drink and enjoyed a good roast on my last visit, the beef literally melted in my mouth and the gravy was tasty and delicious! Good veg selection, hearty portion and only £10! What lets this lovely pub down is the service, whilst the girls are very pleasant there just isn't a presence of anyone being... More

Quite like it here but my wife and I haven't been for a while. Primarily because the food takes an eternity. I dare not go in the summer! But some friends booked Sunday lunch there and we hoped. We waited almost an hour for our food. It is out of season at the moment, and it wasn't busy, so I... More

Had heard there had been a change of Chef here and that it was worth a visit. It was. Four of us went for the evening and each having a starter and main. All very very good. Beautifully cooked and well presented. Only minus point was the amount on the mains. The starters were fine but have to say that... More

We stayed at The Queen's for the Christmas period. The staff are a real asset and could not have been more helpful. The food was excellent. Small issues with the temperature of our shower but not enough to mention to the staff. Good value and good location.

Took the dog, got out of the cold, had a pint, food was very reasonably priced so we thought we had nothing to loose - pleasantly surprised! Makes a change to a pasty! Try it, its had a revamp and has a different atmosphere to how it used to be. Good for children.

We stopped for a brief time in St Ives and a group of us on the Trafalgar tour decided to lunch in the Queens Hotel. It was great service - I think we all had fish and chips and they were delicious. I was especially delighted to find they had Tuborg beer on tap - my favourite beer and I... More

Enjoyed Sunday lunch here but... The ingredients were clearly pretty good although the gravy seemed to be the same regardless of whether you had beef or pork and was to me a little overwhelmed by the flavour of the demi-glace. The apple sauce looked like it had come from a jar. Nothing worth complaining about, just a bit disappointing. I... More

We were on a day trip to St Ives last year and came across this by chance. Had excellent food and service so returned this year. We were delighted again and would absolutely recommend eating here. Between us we had fish and chips, best ever, king prawn risotto and a sandwich. Desert was a cheeseboard of local cheeses, ( amazing)... More

We discovered this place a few years ago and come back for a Sunday roast whenever we visit St Ives. It is a very good Sunday lunch and spectacular value. The atmosphere is great and the wine list always varied. This year we tried the Crozes Hermitage.....twice! It is definitely worth a visit.
