We visited the beachcomber for cream tea a couple of years back and enjoyed it so much we had to return again on our recent visit to cornwall this year. For us it is the best cream tea we have ever had in cornwall, lovely warm scones with tasty thick cream and delicious fruity jam, all very nicely presented, hopefully... More

Took my Canadian visitor (whose standards are very high!) to this delightful little café in quitter part of the St Ives seafront, little sun trap sitting at the tables outside - watching the world go by... we decided on just one scone and jam and cream but believe me - we went back for more!!! their scones are delicious! I... More

Never have I or my family been treated quite so badly as we were when we visited The Beachcomber recently; admittedly we were a reasonably large group of (paying!) customers, but when we tried to push some tables together we were told we weren't allowed to because it would restrict the waitress' path when taking drinks from the kitchen. Fair... More

First visit here as we often go next door to the tea room, but so glad we tried The Beachcomber. I had a Chicken baguette which was absolutely delicious. Very fresh, crusty bread, not the usual jaw breaking stuff. Lovely fresh salad to go with it. My partner had a great looking salmon & mackerel salad which was also delicious.... More

Lovely position. Friendly and helpful staff, though they did seem a bit stressed when we visited, as they had been busy. Good selection of teas, and perfectly satisfactory cream tea with real chunky strawberry jam!

Stopped here after cycling in and around St Ives today for vital refreshments! Managed to bag a table outside in the sunshine. The cafe is in a lovely spot right opposite Harbour Beach. Staff were very chatty and friendly - and patient as we couldn't make up our minds what to have! My husband had a huge piece of chocolate... More

Great location, clean and tidy, excellent friendly service. The hugest portion of lemon meringue pie I have ever had. The cream tea was great too.

Great location overlooking St Ives harbour. Friendly, prompt service. Lovely pannini and sandwiches. Particularly recommend the crab, beautifully fresh.
