We hadn't planned to eat out but the weather was balmy and the sun was shining on the harbour in St Ives. The waitress was attentive, the chef was accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This is a very small cafe but we were very impressed with the location and the food.

Reasonably priced pot of tea and very scrummy chocolate cake, both enjoyed whilst watching the early morning fishermen/harbour workers fishing/getting ready for the day ahead.

So you're in St Ives, and faced with a puzzling choice of food choices. Do you eat in somewhere, or buy a pasty and play ''dodge the Seagull'' while you try to eat it.?? The answer is to keep on walking around the harbour, past the scrum of drinkers outside The Sloop, and seek out The Beachcomber about 50 yards... More

We had a great light lunch each in this nice bright cafe. The food was so fresh and nicely served. I had a crab baguette full of lovely fresh crab and my man had the seafood chowder which was excellent. Very good value.

We visited this cafe a year ago and had the best carrot cake ever! We returned there yesterday and had the same plus lemon meringue. Both were outstanding and the staff were very friendly. We will return.

we were lucky enough to nab one of a few tables out of the front - giving great views of the harbour and people watching went for the cream tea set - this was awesome lovely tea , warm scones , jam and plenty of clotted cream - the dream recommend

Two years on the trot - an excellent cream tea. Good quality tea and jam. Freshly baked scones flavoursome and great texture. The place to go for a cream tea

Visited as a group of 6 including 2 toddlers. Home made seafood chowder, leak and potato soup, crab salad and sandwiches all delicious. Staff were really friendly and accommodated the lively children fantastically. A lovely, friendly little cafe that clearly focuses on quality food.
