We dropped into the Beachcomber for just a cup of coffee but couldn't resist ordering a slice of cake each when we saw them on the counter, and we were't disappointed. They tasted even better than they looked and were the perfect accompaniment to our coffee. I enjoyed a generous slice of carrot cake and my wife the lemon and... More

We had the seafood chowder at lunch time. The chowder was hot creamy and tasty. A good portion with fresh bread and Cornish butter to accompany. We have visited before and were impressed. A lovely location overlooking the beach and reasonably priced. Impressed by the cleanliness of this small but well presented eatery. Would highly recommend a visit.

Bit of a wet day so went inside for lunch. Managed to get a table overlooking the harbour. Seafood chowder for him and king prawn baguette for me - so good we both swapped half. Absolutely delicious - fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced. Add to that a perfect caffe latte and a lovely lunch was rounded off. Would recommend... More

Every time we visit St Ives we go to this cafe. The savoury options are great, but the star attraction is the cake, in particular the Lemon Meringue pie. It is a monster of a pie, and so tasty. The service is excellent and the prices very fair. Will definitely keep returning!

Me and my wife have just had our lunch here and it's fantastic. We always visit when we are in St Ives. The seafood chowder was excellent and my wife tucked into her tuna baguette. Value for money is bang on and so is the food and the service.

In St Ives for a morning , wanting a coffee and a sit down, we came across this little gem looking out over the bay. we sat inside in the window and the view was lovely. The place is furnished beautifully , it is just delightful. We only had time for a toasted teacake and coffee, both of which were... More

right on the harbour so great views. Only popped in for a pot of tea and a bottle of water and weren't made to feel as if they' rather we were buying a cream tea. Lovely big mug, jug of hot water brought along with the tea as standard. Tables cleared very quickly, particularly the outside ones but only after... More

Amidst a very touristy selection of cornish pasty shops etc, sits this little cafe. I was after a good cup of coffee, and found excellent coffee made with care. Service was very friendly, the location was nice, and there was a really ace seafood chowder. Bacon sarnies were also excellent. Much better than I was expecting and hoping for. A... More

I was delighted to be able to pop back to our favourite harbour front cafe over the Easter holiday, this time with more of the family. The Beachcomber never disappoints and it was a welcome surprise to find seafood chowder on the 'specials' menu, freshly made that day. Im a great fan of chowder (and fussy if I'm honest) but... More
