We visited the restaurant just towards the end of the summer season on 27th August. It was billed to us as the best restaurant in St Ives so we had high expectations.... On finding the place, it's off the main shops in Market Place, set back from the harbour by a few roads, so unfortunately no view. In Cornwall, the... More

Should a Michelin *restaurant serve a plate of fat? Don't have the pork belly! Replacement hake dish acceptable but bland. Should a Michelin * restaurant show some sorrow by providing some compensation for providing a customer with a second choice? Don't expect that here. When I asked, I was told it was the managements call not to. My call was... More

We come to St Ives every summer and this restaurant forms a large part of our choice of holiday destination. It is lovely to be able to book a holiday with the certainty of having outstanding food and service; we usually manage three visits here over the course of a week! This year was no exception, this restaurant is really... More

The food we ordered was Excellent. I would order the Sri Lankan fish Curry without hesitation again. First class.

Very nice mussels in cider and chicken parfait to start. The steaks were tender and well-cooked, although they took a very long time to arrive. In fact the service overall was a bit haphazard and the bill just too high for what it was. To be fair, we found the same in other 'high-end' St Ives restaurants we tried (of... More

We had Dinner with our 6 year old son. Excellent well prepared food! Even though they did not have a kids menue they actively suggested to prepare something extra for our child. I had a sea food curry (Sri Lanka style) - excellent and my husband had the special hake dish also great! Try the desserts as well!!!!

Two of us had 3 course 'offer' which in reality only saves a couple of £ and two from the main menu and specials board. 3 course good value but the more expensive meals were very meagre, especially the fish curry which barely covered the bottom of the bowl. That said everything we had was delicious and service was pleasant... More

The chef here really knows his stuff. He forages, innovates, collides colours and flavours and textures and never to show off but always in the name of creating food that looks and tastes great and avoids the me-too menus of the other hip joints on town. Decor is adult, wines are good, service effective and pleasant. This is the one... More
