A return visit - still great

A lovely family meal out (teenage kids, us, grandparents); just before Christmas and a really relaxing time had by all. Menu still offers lots of choice and it is all cooked then and there for you, using good quality food. And the hosts are just lovely. Service with a genuine smile.

This was our fourth visit to The Kitchen and we have been impressed every time. The menu is varied and we have managed to find something new each time. The owners are very attentive without being intrusive and it is obvious that a great level of care going into every meal. We will be back for sure.

We had a lovely evening meal in The Kitchen. Lots of places seemed to have closed up for the winter and we were glad they were! We were delighted with our meals crab cakes and pigeon to start, followed by lamb and duck in the most delicious jus. The meal was made even better by the lovely Karen and Harry,... More

We ate here one cold Saturday evening in October. Lucky to get in as most tables booked. A warm welcome and a pleasant joke over our indecision which table we would like created a sense of fun which our host and other diners made the most of. This is a very small intimate restaurant so one becomes aware of others... More

Celebrated my partners birthday (almost!) with a stunning meal at the Kitchen. We walked past the restaurant on a number of occasions and spoke to the owners who were warm and welcoming. We took the plunge and booked at table - we were not disappointed! The restaurant is cute with only a few tables with a clean and crisp decor.... More

was recommended by our hosts at penryn and we managed to get in following a cancellation. so with that stroke of luck we were treated to a great meal by the husband and wife team who clearly love what they do. the menu was balanced and presented well and the wine list was well matched. very enjoyable evening - highly... I recently went to polperro for a mini break with my partner and some friends who had booked this place for us to dine at for my birthday. I was completely unaware of this and turned up to this lovely cosey restaurant. The owner welcomed us so politely and asked who's birthday it was obviously to this I was like... More

We tried The Kitchen after reading the great reviews and I'm so glad we did! The food was lovely with perfectly sized portions, there's a good selection of wines available and the service was very relaxed and friendly. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

We booked The Kitchen as a treat for our last night based on the trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. The food was amazing, not the largest of portions but after three courses we were full and very happy! The crab to start with and the chocolate cake were amazing. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, would definitely... More
