Just had to go back there again

We had a two week break in Polperro and as it was my sister's 65th birthday, we thought we would go somewhere special to eat. We had a warm welcome and my sister was made to feel really pampered. It's a small room and the tables are quite close, but that added to the relaxed atmosphere and the... read more

Like previous reviewers we went because it was highly recommended by others on trip advisor. The food was really delicious and well presented. A lovely little restaurant with a really unique flair. Run by a couple, the lady does all the cooking herself and she is amazing - the service was superb and very friendly atmosphere. Food was cooked very... More

Went because it rated so highly on trip advisor and was not disappointed. It is a small place with only about 20 covers and you probably wouldn't give it a second glance from outside as it looks in need of a bit of tlc (the outside furniture does at least). The menu is limited and the kitchen is just off... More

We spent a week in Polperro and ate twice at this small but delightful restaurant. The menu is limited ( when you see the size of the kitchen you realise why) but there was still an interesting choice of fresh quality options. Not pretentious but flavoursome and well priced. Intimate and friendly, you can see why Kitchen has such a... More

Went to the Kitchen on the final day of our long weekend in Polperro and dearly wished we had found it on the first day. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient without being overbearing. The food was to die for and was probably the best I have eaten in many a year. Unfortunately the owner is selling up so... More

Spent a weekend near Polperro and so glad we found this lovely restaurant. Not very big but that makes for a better dining experience. The owners are so friendly and obliging and like to spend time talking to everybody. We had a good time talking to them both and really enjoyed the whole experience. Foodwise it was very very good,... More

This is a most delightfully intimate restaurant, with the cheerful and welcoming staff. The space is limited but the tables are well positioned so we did not feel too aware of the other customers. Not surprisingly, it was full and everyone arriving was greeted in the same happy manner - so smiles all round. AND on top of that we... More

We chose Kitchen during our trip to Cornwall because of the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. Because of the high expextations, we were a bit concerned that we might be disappointed. I do not exagerate in saying that this little and cosy restaurant has a well deserved fame! We found our dinner one of the best we ever had. Apart from... More

We booked as we knew the number of tables were small and had noticed the frequent "full tonight" board outside very early in the day. The Kitchen is a boutique establishment with excellent food and wine list with a talented Chef and single assistant who was a lot of fun, kept everyone happy, and gave excellent and pleasurable service. The... More
