Sunday Roast Lunch

Having visited the Polmary on 4 occasions the past 4 years , I have always had a top notch lunch. The price of £7.95 for 1 meat roast or £8.95 for 2 meats is the best value in Polperro. With 5 veg, crispy roast potatoes, and yorkshire pudding, gravy . The staff are friendly, and attentive. We... read more

We stopped here for a cream tea with friends, 6 of us in total, 2 were kids. I presume it was the owner who greeted us and showed us to a table and she was very welcoming. We ordered our cream teas which were good value at £3.50 each, the kids had toasted tea cakes and even had a bendy... More

We had an excellent cream tea at polmary in polperro on 8th October 2014. the lady and her daughter who ran the restaurant could not have been friendlier, we had a good old chat about polperro and Norfolk where we come from. the place was so relaxing and we felt very welcome. the scones and coffee were lovely, plenty of... The restaurant is as you walk down into Polperro so if you can wait, it's well worth a visit on your way back to your car. I visited it with my family, 5 adults and 3yr old Son. The staff member was incredibly friendly and really welcoming. We sat inside cause it was a really hot day and the interior... More

When we go to Polperro we never even bother going anywhere else, we head straight to the Polmary. We actually make a point of going there on the Sunday for the Sunday roast. A fabulous little place, you can sit outside if the weather is nice and if you want to, if you don't, you can sit inside. We always... More

Well we got off to a good start, friendly staff and dog biscuits being brought on a saucer. So far so good. We all ordered a tuna melt for lunch. But we cleary asked to no tomatoes but what do we get. A melt full of tomatoes. Second off, the menu did not state they has butter on, unlucky for... More

Firstly you need to read the menu and order the correct items. Our tuna melt does NOT come with tomatoes and hence was not plated with such. However the Ham melt does come with tomatoes and again was plated with such. You requested NO tomatoes on the Tuna melt which you got. As to allergies, we are fully aware, but... More

What a find! The Polmary really does itself proud- excellent food, superb service and a very friendly welcome, even for my dogs for whom dog biscuits were supplied on a saucer! The menu is just right, with enough options to be varied but not too many to overawe, and the foreword at the beginning of the menu is just brilliant-... More

I visited a The Polmary in Polperro whilst on a family holiday in Cornwall. We had a good look around the village before we settled on here as I wanted a good fish dish without paying through the roof. Not sure why we went in but there was something that attracted us to it. Maybe it was the outside seating... More

We went to Polperro for the evening (31 July 2014) after a day travelling around Cornwall. We'd been to Port Issac in the morning and decided to stop at Polperro for a meal early evening. The tourists were all leaving and the main shops were shutting and we sat outside at the Polmary. The waitress was incredibly attentive, very funny... More
