Delicious food, healthy portions and relaxed Thai atmosphere. p.s. It's BYOB!

I am on holiday with family, staying in Gorval, Penzance. We fancied a change from cooking at home or eating at the local pub. We were looking forward to visiting this restaurant, especially after seeing the reviews here and from other friends that had been. The restaurant was busy but there only appeared to be one waitress. The other lady looking after the restaurant appeared to be doing 'Paperwork' and serving the Take away. |We sat and ordered our meal, offer about 30mins the... More

I've always enjoyed dining here and occasionally getting a takeaway. Food is always brilliant, cooked really nicely and the quality of the ingredients is excellent which shows in the presentation and in the flavour of the dishes. The place is small, authentic feeling with an intimate friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place.

Superb service and incredible food, my only concern was that there was too much! But that wasn't a problem as the front of house lady had it boxed up to take away. Everything we had was delicious and fresh.

Booked Sukothai on the strength of other reviews. Situated in a little side alley that left a lot to be desired. Restaurant was clean and inviting but once full it felt very crammed. We were sat near the door which meant every time someone came in for a takeaway we would get drafts. Towards the end of our meal, we... More

We have had many meals in Sukothai on our visits to Penzance. Always excellent and our meals this week were as good as ever. Good service and super tasty Thai food at reasonable prices. Well done Sukothai, see you next time.

Hidden away but worth finding. You can take your own alcohol as they only serve soft drinks and they charge a small corkage (£3.50). Starters nothing to write home about just the usual deep fired stuff, but the main courses we bother had were probably some of the best I have eaten. Perfect portion sizes and the flavour was outstanding.
