And thank goodness we did, The bakehouse was absolutely fantastic. The service was exceptionally friendly without being intrusive. The food was exceptional we both had steaks cooked to perfection (blue... More

On Friday night my husband and I went to the Bakehouse for an evening meal. I had looked at restaurants in advance as we were new to penzance. The welcome from Rachel was friendly and genuine. I explained that as Coeliac I needed gluten free meal. I was given a menu with all the options on there, and Rachel said I... More

A wonderful dinner with fresh local seafood, attentive and friendly service, in a bright newly renovated space within a stone courtyard.

Penzance may have seen better times from a shopping point of view but it is not short of great places to eat. The Bakehouse is cosy and inviting with very friendly staff. The food is interesting, beautifully cooked and presented as well as being good value for money. Most definitely worth a visit but to be honest if you see... More

Arrived in Penzance after a long drive from London, greeted promptly with a big smile and warm welcome. I had a glass of Shiraz & my partner took a local brewed beer which was devine! To start we took a serve of Falafels, they were maybe a little to crispy but still delicious. For our mains, we both took the... More

Lovely location just off Chaple street in the old part of town. We visited on a quiet Thu in March so it wasn't busy. The service was friendly and efficient. We both had great steaks. Enjoyable bottle of wine too. Sides are ordered seperatley but one is enough for two! Nice surroundings but perhaps acoustics could be softened so it... More

My reservations were dashed when I had a tremendous meal at The Bakehouse. Delightful caraway bread with the usual Balsamic/Olive Oil followed by Falafel with Yoghurt and a main of Chargrilled Veggies with Halloumi,... More
