I particularly love the Razor Clams they serve here. Nice atmosphere, though the bench seating is rather uncomfortable. Always worth booking in advance as it gets busy.

My wife and I each enjoyed an excellent ribeye steak dinner at the Bakehouse restaurant tonight. It took three tries to get mine just right, but they were as cooperative as could be about it. When the steak finally came correctly, it was delicious, and I told the hostess so. When the bill came, they had comp'd my steak. Very... More

If you find yourself in Penzance, Cornwall make sure you book a table at the BAKEHOUSE where you can be assured of great food and excellent attentive (but not too overbearing) service. Don't miss out on the scrumptious chicken livers with rasperberries or indeed the yummy pork schnitzel. be warned leave yourself room for some very naughty desserts as well.... More

The way you serve this dish is most disappointing. Sliced in a dish covered in sauce, might just as well have been a casserole and no way of knowing you have served 20oz of steak

We have now eaten at the Bakehouse for several family celebrations including recently a 70th Birthday and 21st Birthday. On every occasion the food is amazing and the service could not be beaten. Nothing is too much trouble. I cannot recommend the Bakehouse enough.

On a busy Friday night the Waitress offered us an earky dining optikn and squished us in. Then we were very impressed, lovely food and excellent service. For starters try the Japansss style scallops or the monkfish with mango and coconut - both beautiful with complex flavors. My husband had the pork schnitzel and the chips were crispy but soft... We visited this place for a friends leaving party and it was lovely. I had the rump steak and the peppercorn sauce, which was so yummy! The service was great, the waitress was polite and all our food came out at the same time which was great as there was quite a large group of us. It was a really... More

My parents have been eating at the Bakehouse for years, and my husband, friends and I join them whenever we are in Penzance. Rachel and her team are unfailingly welcoming, and the service is always excellent, they will always try and accommodate. Every meal we have ever had, whatever time of year (birthdays, Christmas time, bank holidays, with a big... More

This restaurant was suggested by our b&bs host as I said I wanted somewhere that wasn't just fish.(My husband & I have very diverging tastes). It was also our 30th wedding anniversary so wanted it to be a bit special. Well, it didn't disappoint. Arrived soaking wet after a walk up from the harbour, we were greeted by the owner... More
