Our experience in this restaurant was wonderful. The food was first class - fresh, original, well presented and extremely tasty - and the service was very very friendly. We felt welcome as soon as we came in and just loved every aspect of our meal.

I came here almost exactly a year ago on my last trip to Penzance & had 2 lovely meals so sought it out this time. The hostess actually remembered me & once again made me feel welcome. Had lovely food - crab to start, followed by lamb with dauphinois for main & lemon tart for pudding. There was no rush... More

nearly didn't get to eat here, but the owner managed to squeeze us in without a reservation, and we had a great meal, my wife had the chicken in a lemon and honey sauce which was really succulent and very tasty, I had the rump steak which was cooked just how I like it. Had a great meal here last week. Delicious food - bread is to die for and great range of delicious main courses. The hake in Tuscan stew was gorgeous. Staff were so friendly and didn't rush us at all even though we were late for our booking due to train hassle. Would recommend to anyone young or old who wants... More

Wonderful service Wonderful food Wonderful wine The crab bisque starter was fantastic and enhanced by the home made bread with walnuts My wife had a lobster linguine which was also fantastic. I had Lemon sole, beautifully prepared, the fresh vegetables were just perfect, in fact beyond that. We will be back! Well done you the owners and the staff.

This is more upmarket than the Penzance bistros with service and prices to macth. Still reasonable with an interesting menu. Booking even in Septembeer was essential. The lobster linguine was deleicious.

Dining out at The Bakehouse was a wonderful experience and has given us happy memories of an important birthday celebration. The food was first class and the service attentive, friendly and helpful. We have rightly placed The Bakehouse as our number one restaurant visit during our holiday. Congratulations and thank you Andy, Rachel and your excellent team.

We so enjoyed our first meal in The Bakehouse that we returned two evenings later. The staff were so attentive and very hard working. The mushroom & nutmeg soup we had for starters was real comfort food, truly delicious. The beetroot risotto was equally delicious. This restaurant is really the best thing about Penzance.

One of my all time favourite restaurants - in my experience all my meals have been excellent, the service efficient & friendly attentive but not overwhelming the balance is perfect in my view, as are the ingredients, and always cooked to perfection and delicious. I have one friend with special requirements & they have always been accommodated extremely well. No... More
