Great place to eat, my partner and I went there on spur of the moment and was not disappointed. Very modern, friendly staff. I ordered the Ribeye steak and that was delicious, done just right. Only disappointment with that, you had to buy your sides to go with it as the price is just for the steak alone. My partner... More

We came here mid-August 2015. There were four of us - me, my husband and my two teenage sons. We each had a starter and a steak, which was cooked to perfection! You have to remember to order the sides - chips, dauphinoise potatoes, vegetables, etc. - as they’re not included in the price of the steak, which can be... More

We ate here on a Friday night as a group of six. We booked quite late, but they managed to accommodate us at around 8.30. The service appeared quite rushed and stressed as the restaurant was very busy, but seemed as though there were only two or three waitresses running around. This was the only negative thing though - our... More

We ended up making reservations for dinner on our first night in Penzance and we are so glad that we booked ahead for reservations! The entry way to get to this restaurant is quaint and feels like your going to someone's home with a beautiful courtyard. This place is truly a hidden gem. From the minute we walked through the... We were holidaying in Cornwall and decided to go out for a meal on our last night. So glad we booked here, they managed to squeeze us in as they are so popular and you can see why. Really friendly staff, great atmosphere and wonderful food! Would highly recommend anytime!

We recently had a delightful dinner at the Bakehouse Restaurant. We were greeted warmly and shown to our upstairs table. The decor is fresh and clean and tables are well spaced. The meal was beautiful - I can recommend the duck breast which was tender, juicy, full of flavour and from the biggest duck I have ever encountered. The service... More

This restaurant is tucked away on the left hand side going down Chapel Street. It is very welcoming and specialises in fish dishes. My hake with mussels in a Tuscan sauce was a lovely dish. The food is beautifully presented. We have eaten here several times over the years and have never been disappointed.

We had just arrived in Penzance for a wedding the following day and were told to head to Chapel Street if we were looking for somewhere to eat. I had commented that I quite fancied steak and we happened to see a sign for The Bakehouse. We went in and the restaurant was quite busy/ We weren't certain of being... More

Popped in without booking on the off chance of a table. We were in luck and were offered a seat downstairs. Service and food were as always excellent. One day I may choose something different to a steak - but not just yet (they are always sooo good). Diners need to be aware that the prices are just for the... More
