We chanced upon The Bakehouse on holiday - very lucky to get an EarlyBird table so best to book! Really friendly and helpful service including catering for two 7 & 8 year old girls brilliantly! Fantastic quality food, beautiful presentation and good banter with the staff all added to an excellent evening. Really good value for money with portions to... More

Last night whilst wandering down Chapel St, we saw noticed the Early Bird sign outside which is great value if you order before 7pm. We've eaten there before for Valentine's Day, work Christmas meals and other occasions. Without fail the food has been fabulous. We were not disappointed this time. We both chose a starter of Thai monkfish and a... More

We had an absolutely lovely meal here at the Bakehouse whilst visiting Cornwall and would definitely go again when back in the area. The steaks were cooked perfectly and were definitely up there with the best we've tasted, the service was also top notch.

We visited the Bakehouse with a group of friends whilst staying in Penzance and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Great food, atmosphere and service. Would like to say thanks very much for having and helping to make our stay so enjoyable. Would highly recommend The Bakehouse if you are in the area, especially the Chateaubriand!!

A holiday in Cornwall is never complete without a meal or two at The Bakehouse, and this year was no exception. A warm welcome from Rachel and lovely service from waiters who are attentive but never intrusive. The food is consistently good - excellent quality ingredients, carefully prepared. The menu is not extensive - always a good sign in my... More

Charming attentive staff serve wonderful food in an attractive airy 2 floor restaurant . Grilled lobster was excellent and very fairly priced at £15 for a very generous sized half. Delicious scallops with herb gremolata and aioli were a real wow! There are plenty of flat fish options as well as a good selection of steaks and a daily changing... More

Wonderful food, good value, brilliant staff. Initially we were told that the restaurant was full but the staff gave us a drink and asked us to wait a few minutes. Ten minuets later we were seated.
