Beautiful food, fantastic hosts and great setting. I have been to the Bakehouse several times and loved it each single time. The lemon tart is exceptional!

This was a recommendation from the proprietor whose property I had rented for the week. A lovely little restaurant off the beaten track in a cobble square. The menu was set for New Year's Eve and all I had my eye on was the steak. It was juicy, succulent and cooked medium rare how I like. Pudding was cheeses from... More

We have been having an xmas meal here for a few years now. The food is enjoyed by all and its a friendly but an hour for a cold starter is too long for us. Apparently they have a small kitchen and you have to be prepared to wait. Somewhere else next year.

This restaurant is in a good location and is very good in size. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The steaks were nice and the service was great. The portion sizes were really good. However, I was a little disappointed that you have to order all your main side orders separately from the steak such as chips, onion rings and... More

On 8th December, taking my other half here for his 65th Birthday was the best decision I could have made. Together with his son, the three of us had an outstanding meal and service. The Chef, finding out the Birthday Boy was a diabetic and unable to have a pudding, placed some fresh berries and a dollop of clotted cream... More

I come here every time I play a gig in Penzance. The hostess always remembers me - and makes me feel at home (maybe it's my hat and mustache?). My last meal was particularly excellent: crab followed by lamb with potatoes dauphinois. There is never any pressure of time which makes the meal relaxed. On another occasion I sampled a... More

I had a really succulent T bone and pepper sauce, perfectly cooked and nice chips. Super value and good friendly service. My colleague had the special a mushroom risotto that she really enjoyed. Have been here before and will definitely return, this must be the best in Penzance.
