We have driven past the Yacht Inn many times and only went in for the first time recently. It has always appealed to me as it is a beautiful Art Deco building. The beer was very well kept and sold at a reasonable price. However the decor was a bit tired and the pub lacked personality. Shame as this could... More

to be honest, not much was open on a Sunday night in late septmber penzance. But the Yacht was and we had a couple of nicely prepared, tasty meals at a modest price. Definitely meant to return but time ran away from us. thoroughly recommended

Its forty years since my wife and I worked in Chapel Street and every day took our lunches here. Its a superb 30's style yacht building and has hardly changed in that time. Friendly staff and locals who helped us to remember some of our past and previous landlords.

Stayed here for a night coming back from the Scilly Isles. Not used to staying above a pub, and probably wouldn't do it again. Didn't occur to us that it would be noisy until late. Don't think the landlord was on duty as the partying downstairs went on until after midnight. Room was tired in its decor and in need... More

Good down to earth pub and a good place to have a pint with the locals. It is a nice spot to sit outside on a warm evening and look out over the bay.

Cracking little pub with sea views and a steep decked garden at the back.Varied menu which coped well with a vegan and three veggies. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Drink prices possibly a little on the steep side but just sit back and enjoy the view!

We were staying at the Yacht overnight so decided to try out their restaurant. We were not disappointed. We chose from the specials board. My partner had the trio of fish which had been caught locally and was very tasty. I had a meat trio which was equally tasty and well cooked. We returned in the morning for breakfast as... More

Arrived here with my husband for a light bite---decided to share the fish and chips (it's BIG). I'm not a big fan, but it was quite good! Fish was crispy and chips were nice. Service was excellent and accommodating---even in the middle of world cup! Also has free WI-FI---a commodity in this locale!

I ate early at the Yacht on a Monday evening, so was the only person in the restaurant for the duration of my meal (although I think other people were eating in the bar). The staff were very friendly and accommodating, making suggestions about alternative accompaniments to the main meal when I asked for a particular change (no potatoes). The... More
