BOATSHED FISH

For my final meal before returning to London, I wanted some nice fish. I was not disappointed for the local Turbot on offer was excellent. Served with crushed potatoes etc. and garnished with samphire, it was very tasty. The staff were very friendly and I enjoyed myself. I shall return for more.

Whenever I visit Penzance mussels from The Boatshed are a must have. Had the moules mariniere yesterday and it didn't disappoint. My mother in law, who lives in Penzance, was impressed with the selection of local fish and thoroughly enjoyed her Magrin Sole. The staff were friendly and helpful. They also accommodate the non-seafood eaters, like my husband with a... More

We went on a Monday evening and their were 2 girls serving and unfortunately the service was slow, also we and another couple seemed to have been forgotten, the other couple face up waiting and left, we gave it another 10 minutes and did finally get served. The Gourmet burger was ok 6 out 10.

We turned up around 7pm and it was already pretty full which for a Thursday was a good sign. We weren't disappointed as the Hake with Samphire my husband had was beautiful and the seafood in a cream sauce was gorgeous.

We walked in twice without booking a table and we were accommodated for on both occasions. The second visit there weren't actually any tables free but some friendly locals (possibly friends of the staff) gave up their own table for us which I thought was very kind. The service is friendly and the staff are always cheerful. The food was... More

We spotted this restaurant while walking around the town and was pleased to discover a varied menu with a good choice of fish and non-fish dishes on it. My wife was looking forward to a local fish dish and I wanted the tagliatelle. Neither of us were disappointed with our choices, the portions were plentiful and the food cooked to... More

Was looking forward to eating here as it looked promising but the food was average. Moules were served with little or no sauce or not enought to dip bread into. The classic burger was average. The waitress was only front of house staff and present at 6.30 pm and had her hands full looking after four tables. The table itself... More

Great food with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The seafood was perfectly cooked and came on a delicious sauce. My only quibble would be the limited range of beers but with two local ales I can't complain!
