Yummy food lots of character

Group of eight of us walked in from the beach on Sunday, the staff were very welcoming and the food was good. The sauce for the mussels was delicious! The goats cheese and pesto was nice though I thought it was a very large portion of cheese. The atmosphere was really relaxed and very calm, nothing... read more

Went here with friends for a birthday meal and had a great time. Meal was great and my steak was cooked perfectly with chunky chips and a delicious strawberry cheesecake to follow. The staff were friendly and attentive and I would definitely return.

My partner and I had a lovely meal tues evening after a 4 hour journey. I had the tuna and it was cooked to perfection, nicest tuna I have had in a while. My partner had the Steak asked for med and that also was cooked how he likes it. The service was really good especially as it was a... More

We tried this restaurant after wanting to try local seafood. No complaints with the service, the waitress was lovely, unfortunately the food was very average. The pilchard starter was decent, but lacked seasoning. The first main was the trio of Cornish fish. Unfortunately this was really poorly cooked and lacked any seasoning again. The sole was the standout of the... More

The quirky layout was interesting and we had a warm welcome from the waitress. The seating was hard benches which we found a little uncomfortable, but that might just be our age! The menu was fine, for food, but our first 3 choices of wine were

tried the full sea bass with coriander etc. Excellent main dish. Attentive staff. Slightly let down by the area we were sat in (next to the loos). Avoid those seats and all should be good.

Hope this is the right Boatshed as the address doesn't match the website link.....We visited the Boatshed, The Harbour, Wharf Road, Penzance, which I think the other reviews are also for? Anyway......what a lovely evening we had. The restaurant opens at 6:30 and we arrived very shortly after along with 2 other groups of diners, there was one waitress working... More

I've had a few Thai green curries in my time, but this one was the least like a Thai green curry so far. It was tasty, kind of sweet and the prawns were good, but it wasn't a green curry. The fish and chips was big and tasty and prices were kind of reasonable. The service was amusing - one... More

We ate here one evening on holiday and were pleased with the fresh fish we had and the relaxed casual atmosphere. We had stopped as a last minute thing on a sunday night and i had fish and chips which was simple but beautiful, whilst my husband had hake which was also perfectly cooked. Was pleasantly satisfied.
