I went to this establishment last year, i had a goats cheese salad for starters, and a crab linguine for main. I also went for a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. To begin with i was very pleased. The atmospher of the resturant was calm and peaceful, the views were lovely. I could see right onto the promenade, it really was... More

Having come across Sophia's when visiting Penzance five years ago we were so pleased to re-visit. The food is still excellent as is the service. Our meals were freshly cooked to order, well presented, tasty and hot. We hope it will not be another 5 years before we return.

I have dned at Sophia's several times now and it has never failed to please with the quality of food and friendly service. The restaurant is small, 5 tables only, so important to book first. Couldn't fault any of the dishes, a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience and worth every penny.

Staying at the CHy An Mor, we were a short walk away from Sophia's. It would have been a lovely walk along the promenade to get to Sophia's, if not for the stormy weather that day. We were fortunate to get a table as the restaurant was fully booked. There are only 4 tables in total, so you really should... More

We dined four times in one week at this great restaurant. It is small so well worth booking in advance. Home cooked food at its best with a great variety on the set menu. The proprieter is the chef and she is very proficeint at achieveing some fantastic courses from saters to deserts. I would recommend all of the dishes... More

While staying at Sophia's, we took advantage of the great two course deal (£18) and had a great meal. The home-baked bread was incredible (just out of the oven), and special mention for the delicious chocolate brownie for dessert.

Sophia's was so good. The Cornish fish trio was moist, delicate, and so fresh that it melted in my mouth. My husband had the feta-infused, Greece-inspired meatball dish and it sent him over the moon. We continued our travels and he was still talking about those meatballs at our next destination.

Arrived ten minutes late for set menu restricted time but was still allowed the option to have it. Both my wifes beef and my chicken were cooked to perfection. We started with prawn coctails and finished with sticky toffee pudding, all this for £18, cant be bad. All this and the owner was so very friendly, it was their last... More
