If you ignore the 1980s decor, and the place being rammed full of locals (you always have to book) then you have a decent enough place for dinner. If you didn't know the place was here you'd walk past it. I suppose that's how the locals like it. The waiting staff were young, bored and uninterested... read more

The worst Chinese meal we have ever had!! The restaurant is in a cellar, it's absolutely filthy and cold. The food was terrible, the meat smelt off so ate nothing, even the prawn crackers weren't very nice. Waitresses didn't know what to do . When coming to pay, the card machine was playing up. The waitress walked off with our... More

Good food with good friends .We visit a couple of times a year and have done so for many years never had a bad meal.Would agree that it could do with a coat of paint outside but that shouldnt stop people trying the good food inside. Will be booking a table again soon.

We visited this restaurant last night after reading the generally positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Where do I start with this truly awful restaurant. The location and frontage is poor, the service feels rushed, the staff are incredibly young and I assume therefore inexperienced and finally the actual food is, well, almost beyond believe in its paucity. We ordered the set... More

We all fancied chinese, but looking at ratings and reviews this was going to be hard to find until this one popped up. SO GLAD WE CHOSE THIS! Do not hesitate to visit! There were 7 of us celebrating my birthday holiday and once we entered we were greeted and were offered the drinks menu in the waiting area so... More

This is best chinese food around. Excellent food and service. The decor is a little on the quirky side but dont let that put you off, everything else is top quality.

Very convenient after the rugby on a Sunday, or anytime. Seems to be open most times we go there. This time it was before 5pm on a Sunday when most other places do not open until 7pm. Place is by Helen Glover post box behind weigh bridge and does not look too inviting from outside. But once you step over... More

The Sea Palace is my first choice for eating Chinese out. Great food, fresh ingredients and excellent friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable too.
