First time we have tried and very impressed- location, views, and atmosphere could not be faulted. The menu reads very well and all dishes ate as well as described, the price fairly representing the quality. There was four of us at the table and two adored the restaurant, readily saying it was the best meal of the week. For me... More

Ordered for "fruit de mer" which was custom cooked and priced for me coz no one was willing to share and I wouldnt have been able be able to finish the entire portion. So the humongous lobster was halved and the price customised. Together with that , a seafood pasta ,pollock and chips, a large glass of Pinot Grigio, 2... More

Despite the lovely location and well cooked food we would be unlikely to return. The staff were unwelcoming and there was not a hint of a smile (with the exception of one lovely red haired lady). We ordered mussels(£15.00) and crab claws(£13.00) but were surprised that they came without even a husk of bread to mop up the delicious sauce.... More

Had a great meal for ten people different ages. Food came out in time all cooked tasting great. Staff were attentive. Even offered to give my elderly mother in law a lift up the hill !!! Wonderful view and setting. Well worth a visit.

10 of us ate here recently and were very impressed. The service was great and the food was excellent. The location is lovely and well worth a visit, we will certainly come back. It was nice to have a meal and then stroll directly onto the beach.

7 children & 5 hungry adults tipped up at the Boathouse greeted by an amazing view across the harbour. What a gem of a find. We had an amazing meal. The best fish cakes and fish and chips everyone has had in ages. You must try it.

Had a lovely cream tea here - nothing beats warm scones! Great staff, nice food & good location - would liked to have sampled the seafood on offer but that will have to wait for another day. 😋

My friends and I were asking around places to eat in Newquay and the hotel where we were staying suggested The Boathouse, since we wanted seafood. We came there at about 9 pm, since that was the only available for a group of 5 diners. Food was great, considering that it was fresh, it was a tad expensive, but it... More
