Crab sandwich feast

My son and I stumbled across this hidden treasure after he had finished a surfing lesson on Towan beach. I was in search of a fresh crab sandwich and it fell into my lap, the restaurant that is,, not the crab! This was not a snack...it was a meal. At first my son wanted for us to order a starter... read more

We Visited this fabulous place on the beach, four adults, an 8 year old and an 8month old baby. We had the freshest seafood around , lobster, crab claws, fish steaks, muscles, served with very generous salads and real chips, the staff couldn't have done more for us, because we chose to sit on the canopied terrace we were kept... it is a lovely restaurant. Try to get the table outside. Children menu available and our daughter spent whole evening looking at the live lobsters and crabs. Excellent value for money. If you go for lobster they are just grilled with bit of butter. Bit dissapointed as i would like choice of some sauces.

The setting is great but try and get an outside table to fully appreciate the experience. Portions are good. If you start going for lobsters the prices go up dramatically and whilst they are good they are served plain with a little garlic mayo on the side. The Fruits De Mer dish is large with half a lobster and many... More

Came here as a local having been to most of the good restaurants in Newquay and wider afield too in Cornwall. Firstly it is a great location especially when the tide is in and you have a sunset. Our visit was busy but then at this time of year that is the norm so shouldn't affect service, the restuarant should... More

Fantastic food, superb setting, great service and unbelievable value, what more can anyone ask for? We came on the recommendation of the guesthouse we were staying in and indeed, what a place, what a meal! Fresh Scallops, Turbot, Crab linguine, Seafood platter, manna from heaven. I have had plenty of seafood in my times around the world and this is... More

This restaurant is exactly what I imagined a fish restaurant to be when picturing Cornwall. Right on the edge of a small harbour with little fishing boats and fishermen. In a really stunning location, this restaurant has nice decor and a great atmosphere. The food selection is good for adults but terrible for children, with just 2 choices ; fish... More

I booked The Boathouse on the recommend of a friend living in Newquay and took a group of work colleagues for dinner. We were blown away by this place, it's just excellent, as you walk down the steps to the harbour you're welcomed by the live lobster and crab rock storage tanks with the restaurant and it's incredible covered balcony...
