The food was excellent and the staff that was working where so helpful and friendly ......BUT the drunk, swearing and almost fighting between the assistant manageress and what we later discovered was her other half is enough to put us of for life! !!! Definitely not a family pub !!!

We had been out for the day 3eeks ago and were looking for somewhere to take to small children for a carvery. We went to the Kings Head and were asked to use the family room this was fine as we didn't want to disturb other diners. We ordered 4 8.99 dinners and one 6.99 to share with the children. There... We visited on Sunday for the carvery. The welcome was friendly and the staff were very helpful. The pub itself needs a bit of a revamp, the decor is dated and it is certainly a bit "rustic", but if you don't go expecting anything fancy then you will be fine. Firstly I have to say they were extremely busy, they... More

We called in when walking back from Trerice NT to our hotel on a very warm day. The landlady/barmaid(?) was very cheerful and chatted about some of the local walks we could do. We enjoyed the drink in the beer garden while we rested for a while.

Called in with our family in August, wanted the carvery advertised as £6.99 but on paying learnt that's just a small size it's more for a average size plate! Was so busy staff where stretched and making mistakes, had a big problem with my carvery! Queued for a while for two carvery's and just before my turn a complaint was... More

Quick meal here when we arrived in newquay. The place had only just opened and the bar man was lovely and welcoming. The food was tasty and cooked perfectly we cleared our plates. Place is a little tatty and could do with a spruce up. Overall though tasty food.

We went here in the evening at about 8 o'clock and were told there would be a 45 minute delay, we ordered anyway and about 50 minutes later the waitress came over and told us that the ham and eggs we had ordered they couldn't do as they had no eggs! The waitress asked if it would be okay without... More
