Better than we expected from the outside. Spacious eating area, good service, excellent value meals well cooked with fresh ingredients. Lots of outside seating virtually on the beach.

Visited first week in September. As noted by others benefits from being one of the few pubs around Porth. Excellent location on the beach is all I an say. Shabby decor, yes I too stuck to the bar and tables, appalling service. Really only chips +, which took nearly an hour. Waitresses overrun, bright ligts and badly behaved kids. And... More

My husband and I went here for a bit to eat after playing on Porth Beach. I know some people had complained about the inside, but I didn't mind at all. I thought it gave it character, and for a place right on the beach, it was great. I didn't have to worry about looking out of place coming in... More

I live in Porth and I have visited this pub various times over the years . I have not been for over a year . On sitting at the table my arms stuck to the table so I asked the bar assistant for a cloth to wipe it . I was told " The tables have been re varnished that... More

We were staying local and due to the inclement weather decided to try this place, the outside is a typical eat and scoot type, they have two areas for food we walked into the back area designated for families, and walk straight out the noise level was horrendous shouting and screaming, alright I appreciate kids can make a lot of... Whilst staying at the holiday park as motorhome tourers this pub became our "local". Every meal we had was freshly prepared & of excellent quality. Staff are very friendly, this is a dog friendly pub, which also caters for families. There is an outside area which is directly on to the beach, perfect for alfresco dining experience. The waffles are... More

While on holiday we popped into the Mermaid Inn for a bite to eat and a beer. The food and beer was excellent so no complaints there. I think the pub itself could do with a lick of paint and a bit of an update, but thats only my personal opinion, and does not reflect on the quality of the... More

Staff were generally friendly, nice selection of drinks and food looked amazing. Selection of entertainment on certain evenings. Shame dogs weren't allowed on beach during summer months.

After reading some of the negative reviews on tripadvisor I can understand the comments, however - this is a perfect location for late afternoon drinks on the lovely porth beach. Yes it could do with a makeover cosmetically but I would question how long that would last with sand being brought in off the beach and I would expect it... More
