Special Pub atmosphere

The old-fashioned, cosy atmospere at the Mermaid is very special! You can imagine Ms Marple is just coming round the corner. The meal was good but a little bit too heavy in the evening. But this could also be my stomach which is not used to deep fried onions....! Angelika L. Germany

Have been coming here ever since I was a child. Have never been disappointed. Moved down here 7 years ago and still make an effort to go to the mermaid at least twice a year. Beautiful views. Lovely food & brilliant service. Keep up the good work! ☺️

We have some lovely meals here when staying over the road at the camping site. Food was excellent and very good value for money. Pub was dog friendly and staff were very polite and helpful. Some lovely local beers on and what a great view from the back of the pub. Thank you to all the staff who made us... More

Great Sunday after a walk on the beach. But make supper that you book as it gets very busy on a Sunday. Staff friendly and it great for taking families.

We ate at the Mermaid several times during our week on holiday in Porth, including a fantastic Sunday carvery. The pub doesn't look much from outside and a shabby seaside theme in the restaurant area but the food is brilliant. A good recommendation is that on the Sunday every table was full by 12.30pm with mostly locals. We left about... More

Having been out for a coastal walk we thought we would stop off for a well earned pint at the Mermaid. It's essentially next door to our cottage so very handy whilst we are on holiday. The holiday let proprietor turned her nose up at it when we asked what's close by. "It's OK, but not our sort of pub"... More
