Once again visited The Mermaid Inn literally on the beach in Port, Newquay and were able to sit outside again. Stunning views across the beach, great location. The service is always fantastic and this time we had four bacon and brie baguettes with cranberry jelly and salad. Most delicious.

we loved this restaurant - the cafe feel to it belies just how good our meal was - really good standard and fair prices. It's right on the beach, so we sat inside on a cold but sunny December day watching the beautiful beach and tucking in to a lovely tasty lunch. Perfect!

long wait for food approx 1 hour and there were only three tables eating. This how ever was fine because we were chatting and drinking. I ordered premium Cornish pasty with ' home cooked' Chips and salad. £9 approx when it emerged it looked like it had been left in the hot Cornish summer sun for the whole of August.... More

whether beaching, camping or passing through this pub provides something for everyone. great service, expect a wait of course at the height of season but worth it. lovely outdoors watching the surf and sun go down. one of my favourite spots near newquay.

The back area which looks out onto the beach bumped it up to a 4 otherwise it would be a solid 3/5 just because its a typical pub, sticky floors that sort of thing but a great place to grab a beer & look out onto the beach

Great spot and cheap drinks but the place looked tired and grubby, I didn't fancy eating there. Great location, right on the beach.

The mermaid is situated on porth beach which makes it a perfect setting especially with young children. The pub is kid and dog friendly also. The food is good value for money and it doesn't take advantage of pushing up the price for good pub grub because of its location. The food is great and the portions are very generous,we... More
