Popped in for a drink. The location & the bar were great with wonderful views over the bays. The only thing that let it down was that the tables were sticky & dirty. A staff member came over quickly & cleaned the table on my request so I was perfectly happy & service was courteous & friendly But I did... More

We had two cold breakfasts even after asking for the second one to be heated. Also we had the chefs special pie n mash, without gravy as this was not on the menu, it was offered as an extra, for an extra charge!! Pie mash peas and gravy are a national dish,,why did they not include gravy??

Living in Exeter, never had to pay £3.99 a pint. Micky take out of holiday makers and business makers! Staff were nice and polite and food was great, but very pricey!

Visit here on a very regular basis and have never had a bad meal. When family come and visit they stay in the Great Western Hotel. Always a friendly welcome and rarely have long waits for food, even in the height of summer. The views are amazing across to Newquay Harbour and even more spectacular in the winter months when... A delightfull suprise indeed, walked into the place and confronted by a snooker / pool table heart sank, walked to the back of the bar area, seats all over the place, got a sea view. Menu not really a surprise but the food ordered was, good to the taste, well cooked and tasteful, my steak was done exactly as requested... More

Food came in reasonable time on arrival the burger was stone cold, my fiancé complained and the problem was sorted with an apology. Fish and chips were fine. I had the waffles... More
