Description: We are a small family run Tapas Bar facing the beach in Porth Nr Newquay...
We are a small family run Tapas Bar facing the beach in Porth Nr Newquay. Sorry we do not allow children under 14 as we are a fully licensed public bar, adults haven, adults have to have somewhere to go without children. You can sit & enjoy a glass or bottle (from £14 per bottle) of Spanish wine/ sangria (£8 per half litre or £15 per litre)or beer in our relaxing bar or out looking over the beach or if you feel a bit hungry why not try some our our tapas. All our tapas dishes are cooked fresh to order (if hot) & are from authentic Spanish recipes. Dishes cost from £3 (olives) to £6.75 (scallops & morcia) We say for a snack 1-2 dishes or substanial meal average of 5 dishes per couple if you want a full meal

Rustic,Spanish food & gluten free!

We had a great meal,a great selection of Spanish tapas (all gluten free) and a few Greek dishes too. We are gluten intolerant, meant to bring our bread as a standby...we had forgotten but they would have been happy for us to bring it along. a fabulous wine list and polished off with a local hazelnut... read more

Re-visited this great tapas restaurant - very good choice of Spanish cuisine and wine. It's not right that this restaurant has been slated for not allowing children in - it is clearly stated and has been designed to allow adults to enjoy some quality time together in a relaxed candlelit environment. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is superb.... More

We stayed nearby and have 2 children who are 13 & 10. We all love Tapas and had singled this out as 'one to try' being ideally placed opposite the beach. We were all very disappointed to find when we got there a notice outside saying no under 14's allowed !? No doubt doing themselves out of £50-£60 minimum. It... More

We've been a few times over the last couple of years and have always enjoyed our meal. The food is freshly prepared and the dishes are well sized and tasty. We have been on busy and quiet nights and always found the service friendly. Not usually a dessert person but love them here, not too sweet and very moreish.

Great food, good value for money and a sociable host. I cant fault this restaurant and it offered a great change to pub grub etc. A good wine choice and reasonable prices

Food was awful, very stodgy. Ran out of white wine, even after we ordered three different types. A complete lack of atmosphere. Service was okay

I went here with my wife whilst on holiday.. we have gone to porth for many years and kept saying we will have to try this restaurant and never have until now... I feel the ambience was really nice.. I like the fact the place only seats around 40 people (at a guess) it was nice to enjoy a nice... More

We visit Estrella Morada Tapas Bar about 6 times a year. Phil, the owner, is very attentive, and once you get to know him, good fun too. I night out there is inexpensive and relaxed. We often have family meals there and even club outings. Its not a posh night out, it has a quite authentic Spanish style and if... More

Visited late September, so hardly the height of the season, but very quiet all the same. Food and service were both good without being exceptional. Wouldn't rule out going back, but would try to catch it at a slightly busier time to get a bit more atmosphere
