Nice bar but I think it's more suited to the youngsters. There were lots of people getting very drunk, wouldn't recommend it for a sit down meal even though the food was ok.

I last visited this pub when holidaying with 3 friends back in 1979(ish) and cannot believe it is still there. It has been modernised to suit today's tourist and had a lovely relaxed atmosphere to it, although we were visiting early evening. We can imagine due to the location, it is very popular in the summer or for stag/hen nights.... More

I went here yesterday for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! We sat at a table near the entrance. The decor is good and the staff were nice. When ordering food, the selection was good. You have to order at the bar, at which point you collect your cutlery and condiments etc.... The food arrived soon after. It was... More

This is a typical centre of town bar with everything that goes with it - but if you do go to eat the food is good, especially the Steaks on a Stone, this is the star of the show.

Pub food is so hit and miss, but this well appointed establishment in the heart of Newquay is a little gem. Staff, our waitress was a very pleasant, warm and genuine lady who took time to walk us thru the specials and offers which had a dramatic impact on the final bill, it pays to listen Thank you Amy. Food,... More

Went for a meal tonight and Paul the cocktail manager went out of his way to make my pregnant wife a non alcoholic cocktail. Being pregnant limits what you can drink ( including soft drinks) so she was so happy for someone to take the time and effort to make her something she really wanted . He was so polite... More

We popped in on a cold dark Wednesday night in October. We weren't expecting too much as first impressions are that it is just another chain pub. However, the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the menu looked interesting, so already the experience was better than expected. The lady who served us was one of these amazing types who... More
