My husband and I have previously visited The Central Inn in April with our two dogs. We visited Newquay again recently on our own to celebrate our wedding anniversary and decided to eat here again. We ordered the two steaks on stones and bottle of wine for £30. They were well presented and good value for money. The venue went... More

We have often walked past this place but after looking at their website we decided to give it a go, best thing we could have done. The food was very good quality which you can order in the bar or have it served to your table in the restaurant area. Our favourites were the chilli nachos and burgers .Very nice... More

The Central Inn is located right in the heart of Newquay and within easy walking distance of Fistral Beach, although we visited it during probably the busiest week of the year, we were able to get a table easily. The staff were very good, the food was delivered quickly, had great portion sizes, and was piping hot! More importantly it... More

This was the place to visit to start off a night out in Newquay. Location is key for the place. You can sit in the sun during the day and people watch or mingle with others sat night. It is lively on a Saturday night with visitors and locals alike and is great fun. The major drawback is the toilets,... More

Whilst in Cornwall we had day trip in Newquay, and wanting some lunch we stopped off at the Central. Very busy place but very friendly and accomodating. We ordered lunch ~ I opted for the Goats Cheese and Mediterranean vegetable sandwich and my partner ordered the fish platter. What can I say? Both were absolutely outstanding in quality & quantity... Visited on a Monday night. Food was good, no issues, nice lasagne. Fair prices. However, would never visit again because of toilets downstairs which were disgusting, unclean and had an overpowering smell. Upstairs toilets closed, so they may have been better. The ones downstairs should not be open to customers until they are thoroughly cleaned and improved.

Having lived in Newquay for several years, we were under-what turned out to be-the mistaken view that this pub was for the youngsters. However, having had our family down for a few days, we decided to call in for lunch. 5 of our party of 8 were over 60 and we were all impressed with the service, choice of food... More

This was one of my favourite bars/restaurants in Newquay. The atmosphere is great with a really mixed crowd of people, there are plenty of places to sit & the music was good. Even at its busiest, service was quick, we never waited long at the bar and the food we had was the best we tasted all weekend, freshly cooked,... More

Staying in Newquay for one night, wanted to make the most of it and have some nice food and a beer. Someone recommended the Central to me so as it was a 5 minute walk from my hotel I went with it. The food was fantastic, Surf & Turf is definitely recommended. The beer was fairly expensive but in a... More
