Great place to eat, drink and take in the view of the Bay

A good place to grab a snack, or evening meal. The menu is varied and would appeal to all tastes. I would recommend the fish and chips- I have never tasted such fresh fish so beautifully prepared. The selection of drinks is good- try the local ale.. There is inside and outside seating areas, the... read more

The Phoenix is a good alternative to the more expensive offerings at Watergate Bay. Do not expect the modern shabby chic, coastal decor of the Beach Hut or Living Room and the food is not quite as good but you will pay a lot less. Definitely worth a visit for a family on a budget.

Popped in here several times and love the chilled out, cosy atmosphere here. Our little dog was also made to feel really welcome which was lovely . Can't wait to visit this place again when we return in March.

Last time I came here, I just came for a quick pint which was nice. This time, I came here for a bite to eat and what I got was surprising! The food was lacking in flavour and was quite tough.

Great food, dog friendly-easy access to the beach, great views, able to eat inside and outside depending on the weather. Portion sizes good-never left feeling hungry, good local beers and ales

We visited the Phoenix on a grey, wet and windy lunch time. We were greeted with a very welcoming smile. There is a very extensive pub menu, with as it turned out very substantial portions. The pizzas were extremely good and as we were unable to finish them they were boxed up for us to take out. There was a... More

Visited a few times after walking over the ocean cliff top from Newquay which is a fabulous way to get here. The food is plenty - one of party had a chicken burger which he thought was very bland. They changed it for a beefburger without any problem. We all ordered different meals and they all came out together. It... More
