Visited The Two Clomes for an evening meal with my wife. The food was fantastic. I had the chunky vegetable soup to start with which was almost a meal in itself, followed by the lamb chops with minted mash + caramelised red cabbage with carrots. My wife had chicken + apricot salad followed by the stuffed pork loin. We could... More

We booked on the strength of the reviews here. It was absolutely everything everyone said. The pub is warm and cosy, the food top class. My wife ordered the sea bass special and I ordered the pork loin. The food was beautifully presented and well cooked. We both enjoyed our food immensely washed down with a tasty bottle of shiraz.... Visited this restaurant on the last night of my trip to Cornwall - wish I'd done it sooner as I would have been a more regular visitor. I had the Lamb Chops in Minted Mashed Potato with caramelised red cabbage and carrot - was gorgeous - and the chops were perfect. My friend had the 10 oz Filet Steak and... More

Called into this pub for evening meal last Thursday 2nd May (2013). The staff were just so welcomimg and friendly, couldnt do enough for us. My husband had the lamb chops which he described as melt in the mouth! I had the salmon, and as a regular eater of fish I can honestly say this was delicious, the red thai... More

Well I am pleased to say the Clomes has not dipped at all in any aspect. If anything, it's gotten even better. Many, not all, pubs in and around Newquay have gone downhill...and significantly so. But a handful, The Two Clomes being at the top of the list, have gone from strength to strength. The energy and effort pumped into... More

Ate here 23/04/13, service was very good ,attentive without being fussy, food imaginative but not stupidly so, beautifully cooked with fresh ingredients, wine choice very good ,ale well kept. A perfect meal in a pleasing English , sorry Cornish , pub. Going back again tonight if the wife authorises another over indulgence!s

Wish we had tried it earlier on our holiday. Ate out at a few places and this was by far the best. Pork in cider pie was perfect!! Had a far more expensive meal at a place called bowgie and it was awful.

I popped in yesterday with my kids for a light lunch and a pint. The bacon and mushroom was utterly delicious. Beer was excellent. The owners were both very polite, helpful and friendly (names Phil & Gerardine). The whole pub is a traditional delight. Warm and welcoming. Toilets are spotlessly clean and odourless. It was very sunny yesterday do we... More
