The cake varieties can be seen in the shop window before you go upstairs to the tea room. Some are calorie monsters! We were shown to our table then promptly forgotten about. Finally we were able to place our order. Unfortunately, our tea arrived without the long awaited cake. When we asked the waitress we were told very bluntly that... More

Found this on a recent trip to Newquay after reading reviews on trip advisor. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area, we bought to try a number of different flavoured pasties, Cornish, ham and cheese and even spicy chicken which were very nice. Also tried the cheesecake which was delicious. The man in the shop was kind enough... More

We visit Newquay several times a year and also pop into Paulines, we usually just get some sandwiches/pasties and cakes to take away. On offer are a large selection of fresh cream cakes which look huge, home made cakes including toffee chocolate and scones to name a few. I personally love the chocolate cake and always have to take some... More

You can't go to Cornwall without having a cream tea - at least that's our family tradition! The cream tea at Pauline's was excellent - the scones were some of the best I've eaten and we were supplied with extra clotted cream on request. The tea itself was good too, served in a pot with a jug of hot water... More

I enjoy going there the food is so fresh and you can watch the people go by as you sit in the window seats . You can take your time and on your own or with your family , you get a warm welcome .

We are Newquay people so come up here quite a bit.The staff are friendly especially Jenna who I believe her family own it. She's always smiling. What can I say about the cakes ? All the cakes are lovely but the chocolate one is out of this world . Once you have a piece , you must eat it all... More

lovely scones, lashings of cream and lovely strawberry conserve, coffee and walnut cake ok but too sweet, however the service was just appalling - young, disorganized, ill-mannered and very inattentive. In fairness they may have been having an off day, but I fear not. Make an effort people, you'll get more tips for it!

Lovely little cafe. Staff all helpful and friendly. We had the Cream Tea - 2 scones, clotted cream, Jam and tea. Absolutely fantastic. There were plenty of other cakes on display in the shop and frankly had I the time and wasnt already stuffed I would have happily tried many of them

we came here a few days ago and were blown away - the most stunning cream cakes, cheesecakes etc we have ever seen - you can either take them away or eat-in upstairs, where there is also the possibility of tea room snacks (toasted sandwiches etc) - the cakes are seriously stunning, the atmosphere is great and the staff are... All we can say is wow!! This is a lovely little tearoom and takeaway on one of the main streets in Newquay, that could quite easily be missed. It's a lovely little building with lots of history, and this really appealed to us. The booths and tables in the tearoom have a lovely atmosphere and it's very relaxing when you... More
