I stop by Pauline's every time I visit Newquay - sometimes each day I am in Newquay - it's that good, The choice is great and the prices reasonable. I particularly like the chicken pasty, strawberry cheesecake and bakewell slice. The food also keeps well so you can take some home with you too!

Definitely worth a visit - difficult to make a choice! Great selection of homemade cakes and very efficient service. Best scones I have had and lots of clotted cream. A fruitier jam would be my only suggestion.

Stopped here in Newquay and treated ourselves to a cake after a surf, on the walk back to our lodgings. Had a gorgeous peanut brittle cake, freshly baked gingerbread man and even popped in here one day for a traditional knickerbocker glory ice cream. They actually used proper fresh cream, not that processed squirt cream. Go on treat yourself here... More

We were staying in Newquay, Cornwall for the weekend so we initially went into this restaurant in the main street for coffee but (when we saw the delicious choice of food on offer) we stayed for lunch and were pleasantly surprised when we tasted items from the menu. The entry to the restaurant upstairs is through a cake shop and... More

Pauline's is a really nice little Tea Room above their cake shop. We had a cream tea there & had some cakes to take away, everything was really nice.

Stopped here for cakes after seeing the window display. What a great choice of lovely homemade cakes.... they were delicious. Could do with friendlier staff on counter but everyone has bad days I guess.

Visit newquay every year but had never eaten in paulines upstairs cafe! We were greeted by a very polite young man who showed us to a booth and took our order for tea and cake. Our treat arrived quickly and boy were those cakes big!!! Cafe gets busy but diners are encouraged to wait for a tablet which I would... More

Stopped atPaulines for a spot of afternoon tea and wasn't disappointed. The decor is a bit dated but the food offering was first class and the pasty was delicious and the wife had the lemon cheesecake. If your looking for a bite to eat look no further and to add the experience the young lad who runs the floor is... More

Stopped at paulines for tea and cake. The sticky toffee and caramel cake and the chocolate cheesecake were both cakes of the highest order served by friendly staff. Tea was good too, a pot for one made 2 large cups. Pretty good value too. Large portions, had to take some away.

My husband, two year old and I visited the tearoom yesterday and have to say it's one of the best value places we have eaten in during our stay in Cornwall. The server was very friendly and when he saw what we were ordering for our two year old instantly asked if we wanted small versions. We ordered sandwiches which... More
