Description: "Leisurely lunches, cosy coffees and seaside suppers, welcome to Lusty Glaze Beach Bar and Restaurant...Nestled just a short walk from the centre of Newquay on the North Cornish coast. Come rain or shine Lusty Glaze has a relaxed, intimate and friendly atmosphere to enjoy freshly cooked and sourced culinary delights. Head chef Nat creates a beautiful menu for each season utilising the best local produce complimenting the current season, with some rather tasty specials to go alongside. We also specialise in Hot Rock dinning for a truly unique experience! Singing with your supper...Every week we hold a free live music evening featuring some of our favourite local artists spanning a range of different genres, these nights are always special, everyone relaxes and unwinds to the soft sounds of the Atlantic paired with the beautiful tones of our acoustic singer. Even though we now have a 'master chef' leading our kitchen, it is still very likely that your chairs won't match, your spoon and fork may be different patterns and your waiter will be wearing flip flops... We are still the laid back family-friendly restaurant that we always have been!

AMAZING LOCATION!! We arrived at the steps at the top of the cliff and I was completely blown away by the view. When we walked down to the restaurant they placed us next to a cosy log fire, while we waited for our table. Drinks arrived and we didn't have to wait long at all until we were seated. I... More

We visited here one Sunday afternoon and the location really blew us away. It's in a lovely little private beach cove with stunning views. Really gorgeous. The staff were really friendly. Food wise, I think we need to go back again as we made some bad choices. We went for the hot stones, the fish option. This included a hot... More

Great resturant, although we got a little lost finding it. The night we went sadly the chef was off sick and they had a stand in, this meant that the only dishes on offer were the hot plates, this wasn't a problem for us as this is what we went for. There were no starters available other than bread and... More

After a wonderful afternoon on the beach we ate supper here as we watched the sun set, and listened to some relaxing live music (by Annie and Gareth). It was magical, the highlight of our weekend away.

We had a lovely meal at the Lusty Gaze , found cooking our food on the hot rocks a bit of a novelty. The restaurant is great , decorated beautifully and toastie warm . Couldn't see the sea as we went in the evening but definitely could hear it . I am planning to go back again , hopefully in... More

Seafood was great and it was right on the water what could be better. Just a few steps from the Kalacliff hotel where we were staying.

We first visited the restaurant in May 2014 and were really impressed. We had the surf and turf and I had a chicken dish with rainbow slaw. Really tasty food and big portions with lots of salad Ect. The second time we came with friends in September. The service was really good and although there was a wedding on, the... More

Lovely location where the idea of what they are trying to achieve is great. However, the food was terrible. Trainee chefs were to blame (so we were told) and half term combined. However, to be fair they did take off the bill two mains as by way of compensation which was fair. My advice have a coffee by the log... More

Having read some of the rave reviews I thought I'd better book ahead. Good job, the place was full. Due in part to the great restaurant and the live music that night. I was a bit worried about the service (having had a brief look earlier in the day. On enquiring about my reservation, I was met with a less... More
