Excellent cafe food

Unpretentious café near fistral beach. Ordered a mixed grill and an omelette. Well prepared and very tasty. So good we repeated the same meal the next day to see if it was a fluke, but nearly as good the next day. Speciality is fried food and all day breakfasts. I expected to be really wowed with all the glowing reviews, but I wasn't impressed in all honesty. Before the owner/manager leaves me a nasty comment (as I've seen them provide for to other poor reviews) harping on that I don't have a clue; I've worked as a waitress in Newquay in the not so distant past, and can honestly... I do not leave " nasty" comments. I write a response which is appropriate to the review. I do apologise if you were offended by the waitress filling the salt and pepper pots in front of you, and I will take immediate action. To label a business as "substandard" because of this offence astounds me, and I would recommend you... More

Myself, my husband and our 4 year old had lunch here on a day out to Newquay. The cafe inside seemed to be a bit cramped (the tables seem very close together) but it was well presented; my husband loved the wall of surfing mags available to read. You order the food at the counter and collect your own cutlery... More

Me and the girlfriend had the large and larger breakfast. Was lovely. Not greasy at all, sitting in the sunshine on the decking made it all the better. Would definatly recommend and only a 5 min walk from Fistral Beach.

skipped breakfast for a surf, very hungry at noon - no problem. I got exactly what I wanted. Friendly guys, no nonsense, and a great quality breakfast. "Ma's gourmet" was plenty enough - as promised. Then moved on to several courses of rehydration via three fresh fruit / veg juices. All excellent. No wifi but good selection of magazines -... More

We thought we would give this place a try after hearing rave reviews about it from sone of my local friends. We had a cheese and ham omelette with chips and eggs benny, vit sea juice and a coffee which came to just under £20. Food was enjoyable and the juice was delicious and fresh, price was a bit steep... Recommended by our host in the apartment we stayed, this place was easy to locate. We ordered the Eggs Benedict, with Jacket Potatoes. We were 2 adults with 2 kids. The plates were empty not a morsel left. The Eggs Benedict were so fresh, you could actually lick your fingers. Never had better ones.

We went there for breakfast based on the reviews and left feeling very short changed - we ordered eggs benedict - I only wanted one egg but was told I had to order as per the menu and have two. At £7 a pop it was expensive and the ham was cheap ham, already chopped up for filling omelettes. Juice... More
