Boys liked the burgers!

Two visits in one weekend and very nice indeed. Very friendly hosts (owners?). Loved it! Nice large outside patio area (would be even better if it had a view of the sea)

As I mentioned above big thanks to all staff at St Pirans, this is the 13th year of holidays at holywell bay and visiting this great inn also,we have always been greeted with smiles and the staff and management have always bent over backwards especially on special occasions. It was my mother in laws birthday they even put a banner on the... As a regular visitor to beautiful Holywell Bay, how wonderful to have a pub at the foot of the beach which offers a garden for enjoying a drink in the Cornish sunshine. We've enjoyed food and drink here on many occasions, neither of which I could pick fault with, most recently at May bank holiday. I agree the inside of... More

Dear Nicky, I have read your review, thought long and hard, and you are totally right! We do our very best down here to make sure the food is good the decor is clean and the staff are friendly. The reason that we reply with some sarcasm is because we can defend ourselves when a customer complains or TELLS us... More

It's taken me a while to actually sit down and review this place as I visited in March, but I feel that you remember a place months later for one of 2 reasons, either it was great, or it was terrible. Mine is the former. A weeks break with the dog encouraged me to look for all the doggy friendly... More

Just been here for evening meal, although service was good the food was awful, i had goats cheese tart which generally consists of a shortcrust pastry case but this was just squares of puff pastry loaded with caramelised onion lacking in balsamic vinegar served with salad with wilted rocket, the tart was more of a slice, very greasy made me... Oh Shelly,Shelly,Shelly....you really didn't have a good time here in Holywell did you? Firstly you You hated our Goats cheese tart SO much it made you feel sick (but strangely failed to mention anything to any of the staff??). Little surprised as we sell on average 60 of these dishes each week and have NEVER had a complaint or anything... More

Visited while on holiday. Firstly the food is overpriced for the quality and quantity you get. But the really disturbing bit is how uncomfortable you feel. Nobody asked us where we would like to sit or came to say hi. We were not visited during our meal to see if everything was ok. They took the plates without even asking... More

Dear Reviewer, I am not going to spend too much time replying to this as it strikes me as A. FAR too similar to a recent review. B. Lacking in ANY details,(just like the other!) C. NOTHING like the true experience at St Pirans. If i had such a bad experience and felt compelled to tell everyone i would at... More

Returned for yet another superb evening meal. Couldn't fault the quality of the food with a great friendly service and smiles all round. Can't wait for our next visit there. Many thanks for a memorable meal.

unfortunately I can't recommend the food here. We found it overpriced and of poor quality. There were no smiles from the staff and no atmosphere whatsoever. The waitress came to clear the table as I had finished but my husband was still eating. The beer garden is ok and fine if you are wanting just a drink.

Firstly, disappointing ( actually spelt disappointing!) is a strange description of our inn, as we tend to make more of an impression than that. It is confusing that you found the staff unfriendly as we pride ourselves on our warm welcome and atmosphere, and the review directly after yours agrees with that! You say that the food is overpriced....what did... More

Had our dinner here on Sunday 10th may and absolutely loved it. The meal was beautiful and the pub was really nice . All staff were very friendly especially one of the waitresses giving my little lad a lollipop if he ate his chips :) (sorry if they ran riot a bit ) . Good value for money and the... More
