There is nothing quite so British as a mini-break to the Cornish coastline, and Beaucliffes is a stellar restaurant in Porth tucked away inside the Porth Veor Manor Hotel that is ideal for romantic mini-break meals for two. With coastal views and a superb modern dining room this restaurant has oodles of nostlagic charm without the decaying decor, and is popular with both daytrippers and locals. Beaucliffe's locally sourced, seasonally changing menu offers a variety of British classics with a noughties twist, and signature dishes include the medallions of Westcountry pork tenderloin with a red cabbage, garlic and lime coleslaw and mustard dressing, and the seared Cornish beef with colcannon mash and Guinness gravy.

Great moules mariniere and Seabass

Defo had some food envy, and had chosen the wrong dishes! The Moules starter and Seabass main that my wife had were both very good - great care with the fish, and well cooked. I had the soup followed by steak - the soup was ok, but sadly the bread rolls were not good at all - maybe just... read more

Thank you for your feedback, it is disappointing to hear that not all of you meal exceeded your expectations. We can assure you that none of our dishes are 'bought in' our team of chef's pride themselves that all meals are prepared in house. I will however, ensure your feedback is passed onto both the restaurant staff and kitchen team... More

I felt obliged to write a review after noticing this restaurant was so far down the trip advisor ratings. Seven of us visited on a Friday evening to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were greeted warmly by the waiting staff and this set the tone for the rest of the evening. After ordering drinks from the extensive wine menu, our... More

Visited this place during a short break with friends. Had mussels to start, sirloin for main and cheese board to finish. Couldn't fault any of the courses which were all fantastic. The mussels had an excellent depth of flavour as did the mariniere sauce. The steak was tender, succulent and cooked to perfection. The cheese board contained a fine variety... More

Visited this restaurant whilst on a short break with friends and was pleasantly surprised! The food was wonderfully divine, in particular the fresh moules mariniere and Seabass. Service was great, staff friendly and attentive. This fabulous restaurant deserves a visit. Don't miss out!

We booked a deal to stay in Watergate bay and a 3 course dinner was thrown in at Beaucliffs. It was an xmas menu night so there was lots of xmas parties, very noisy! However the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were very nice! The only downside I would say is that for a vegetarian option all you had... More

Set menu option, good value £30, not a large choice, but nice food, starter (soup) was a bit disappointing (lumpy & cold) main delicious, dessert fantastic. Would have been nice to have warm bread rolls offered with soup. Good value

We have eaten at this restaurant before, but this time the service was very slow. On arrival we were seated in the bar area and given time to choose our food from the menus. Having been shown into the restaurant area some 30 minutes later, we then waited a further 15 minutes for the starters to be served. The main... More

We ate here every morning during our stay at the Porth Veor hotel, and the quality of the food was consistently good. Ordering the fish for breakfast is a bit hit and miss however as they haven't always had a delivery in. We also ate here for dinner one night and again, can't fault the food. The portion sizes are...
