In March, the weather was still cold and wet. Inside this small restaurant was modern, bright and warm, making quite a contrast to the rather grey cold stone of the buildings outside. We visit annually when we stay in St Ives. The reason being our 90 Grandma recommend it some years ago and we have been ever since as its my favourite cream tea of all time. This week we spent a week in Mousehole so on top of having our usual cream tea or coffee we also had brunch. I myself... More

Such a pleasure to find gourmet cuisine at literally the farthest end of the country! Had a beautiful seafood dinner with a lovely bottle of wine all for a very reasonable price. Fantastic!

Located right by the harbor in Mousehole, 2 Fore Street was recommended to us by our hosts at a nearby B+B. We were not disappointed. Our dinner was delightful, with a fish (gurnard) dish and a heaping order of local mussels, both with tasty sauces. The place filled quickly at dinnertime on a Tuesday in mid-April, so reservations are strongly... More

A little jem, we were made to feel welcome, the food was great. In Cheltenham we could easily of payed double for the same meal with no gaurentee of it being as good. Top marks all round.

this little place is excellent in all respects and would recommend to any one who loves sea food. Service was good, food / portions were spot on and choice on the menu was good, decor and cleanliness was good, little pricey - but don't mind paying for great food. Would go again if we trek back to Cornwall. Recommend to... More

We didn't book so had to sit in their garden which was so chilly !! Service a bit slow...not a lot of choice unless you love fish which I don't. I ordered the rib eye which cost 18 quid was tasty but very fatty and it came with a tiny bit of watercress and a few fries..NOT worth the money... More

What a fabulous place. The decor is lovely and the little courtyard at the back is secluded and quiet, the perfect place for a spot of brunch. The staff are fantastic. Polite, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. They were so helpful with getting a highchair sorted for my little girl and with recommendations on the menu. The food was sublime... More

The staff were friendly warm and welcoming, menu varied and a great selection. We had garlic bread which was amazing like a small loaf, with scallops and crab soufflé which was heaven on a plate! Mains were sirloin steak, lemon sole and sea bass which were all cooked to perfection, with Parmesan roasties and buttered leeks n' greens! All fresh... More

What a lovely restaurant, the food was superb, the staff attentive but not over bearing, the decor perfect and the view watching the relaxed pace of live makes you want to kick back and have another glass of wine!
