We made a point of visiting this pub every day we were on holiday in Looe. Nice pub with a good atmosphere, that appears to be regularly used by locals. Very friendly and popular in the evenings. Very good pub grub, with the Chicken Jalfrezi being particularly popular. We had a very tasty Steak and Ale pie on one evening,... More

A very traditional 16th century Inn, with really friendly staff. My friends and I called in to cool off on a very hot day and weren't disappointed. The wines and beers were excellent. The food is very good with excellent crab sandwiches. Looe is a lovely fishing town that is well worth a visit but the Olde Salutation Inne is... More

Went here last week. Loved it. Sat at the bar for a few pints and dinner. Bartender was friendly and helpful, food (Cottage pie and Steak and Ale pie) was hot and fresh, and the vibe was lively and comfortable.

This is our fourth visit to Looe and we have always called in for a drink or two as we have never had a bad drink but this time I couldn't even finish my 1st pint of lager, it tasted like cider which I don't like so made me think the glasses weren't very clean. My partner struggled to finish... More

We used this place as a meet up point for a birthday get together. Two people ordered fish and chips, given Looe's fish market is 50yds from the pub's back door expectations were high but the fish was worse than the worst heat in the oven frozen stuff you'd buy in a cheap supermarket. Inedible. The waiter's response to a... More

We came to this pub after checking the good pub guide book and what a great snug lovely pub it is, fire was going, low beams and great beer. We did not have any food but the food we did see have nice portions and looked pretty good.

We always make sure we get to the Salutation at least once a day when we visit Looe. Doom Bar every time. Relaxing, friendly staff, great.

Called in for lunch, between the showers. Good food, nice pint of Doom Bar, and a very welcoming open fire. Will definitely call again.
