I've been here several times and it's been okay, but unfortunately the last time was not even that good. The starter was cold, the special main course wasn't the special because they'd run out and what we gopt instead didn't really work, and the pudding was average at best. Maybe they are getting a little complacent.

This restaurant was recommended by our holiday cottage company and they were not wrong - this is a super restaurant. We were impressed right from the start when the waiter offered us a jug of tap water and made sure we were aware of the special offer set menu. It was a pleasant change to find a restaurant that focuses... More

First impressions when you walk in - clean, well decorated and lit just enough to feel intimate and cosy. Staff are friendly and professional. Menu is varied and interesting. Then the food arrives - and you are delighted. Every course was perfect, but for me the trio of creme brûlée was OUTSTANDING! We had white and red wine by the... More

We went to Hunkydory as a birthday treat while on holiday visiting family. Our second visit and it was as good as we remembered. We all had belly pork which was amazing and just had room for dessert. The service is friendly without being overbearing, lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend if you are in the area

I'm surprised Hunkydory isn't higher on Tripadvisor's ratings. Warm and friendly welcome, attentive service, easygoing atmosphere, and delicious well-presented food. I had the Harissa lamb, which was perfectly cooked (they did ask if I was ok with it pink) and was zingy without being overpowering. My wife had the halloumi with mushrooms, which was an interesting (in a good way)... More

The restaurant is on the main high street. We have been here many times and will definitely be going back! It has a very nice bar area and a good atmosphere. The menu is varied. I had fish and it was lovely and fresh and beautifully cooked. There is an excellent wine menu. The service is good.
