A 'Very Special' mid-week special

Eating out in numbers is always problematical, the issues of who wants what and how much always rear their ugly heads. The family was having one of those 'ships that pass' moments with one down on business and one about to set off back abroad to work we decided to go out for a quick bite. Nothing... read more

We had friends in from out of town over Easter weekend and decided to try a place we've been meaning to visit for a long time. My wife had been several times, but it was a new experience for me...one I'm very happy to have had. Hunkydory is a cozy intimate restaurant with a great deal of character and the... More

We have been long term customers of this place for a good 15 years and always plan a meal here when in Cornwall. Through all the changes in ownership and personnel it never fails to impress and this trip was no exception. Good well cooked imaginative seafood dishes, well presented with efficient unobtrusive service. Highly recommended

All the staff are so courteous, but not at all obtrusive. Food was wonderful, apart from I couldn't eat my main as it was to rich, to much truffle oil, just down to my taste and having been unwell. The waitress was so nice, the chef agreed it was too rich, offered me another meal, but I didn't fancy anything... More

We were lucky with getting a table as this is another 'book in advance' restaurant. We both had the special of the day, Sea Bass, not cheap at £18 but really well cooked and presented. The service was first class and the restaurant comfortable. We would go again.

Went for our first evening out together since having a baby and we didn't regret choosing it. The food was fantastic and excellent value for money and the service superb.
