My partner and I were in Falmouth on a short break , and decided to have a curry on the Friday night 4th July .we were the first to arrive and was seated by the window overlooking the street. The decor of the restaurant is a little tired but this did not distract us. The staff were friendly and attentive... More

good value for money at the Gurkha, however the place lacks any sort of atmosphere and the quality of the food is only average. the buffet on Sunday evenings is worth going to for £10.95! in my opinion you cant beat asha restaurant for taste and quality Indian food, which is just over the road from the Gurkha. would definitely... I was drawn to the smell of something really delicious cooking, and followed my nose to the Gurka Restaurant. Tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere with excellent service. Don't be put off by the worn stair carpet at the entrance. We were encouraged to climb the stairs, by two people who were leaving, who told us how good their meal... More

Having lived in Birmingham and a couple of other areas, I've experienced a fair few different Indian restaurants. However, I can honestly say that this is my favourite Indian/Nepalese and is one that I visit every time I'm in Falmouth (where my family live). To give a brief insight into why I love the Ghurka quite so much; - The... More

We had a meal in this restaurant whilst on a short break in Falmouth. We have had many Indian meals but this is the first time we have had Nepalese. My husband had the Everest curry and even ate the lamb which he would never eat before, it was so tender.I had Achari lamb medium spiced but not too spicy... More

Whent for dinner here as part of a pre wedding dinner. Arrived at about 8pm to a very full and loud restaurant with kids running everywhere. Not the restaurants fault I know, but if you want a quiet dinner a deux you might want to consider this. The service was painfully slow although as stated, the restaurant was very busy.... More

Great range of dishes. Our choices were full of flavour and spice without being overly hot. Very friendly and good service. Definitely recommend this Nepalese restaurant.

This place was recommended to me by the owners of the guesthouse I was staying so I made my way over at around 7.50pm. I found it slightly off-putting that the restaurant was above KFC and up a couple of flights of stairs but the decor looked nice if dated and they didn't look busy. I asked for a table... More

On our first night in Falmouth we didnt know where to eat so we saw the bright lights of the Gurkha restaurant and thought that we would try it. We were not disappointed especially when our waiter realised that I had been to Nepal and even to his home town just outside Kathmandu. We tried the waiters recommendation which was... More

The food at The Gurkha Restaurant is without doubt the best Nepalese food we have ever eaten. It is consistent in its quality and quantity. Spiced just to your taste, just ask the Chef to prepare it how you like it and it never fails to impress. As I am a Coeliac and find it difficult to eat out, you... More
