Description: Dolly’s is a tea room and wine bar in the centre of Falmouth which opened in July 2011 in one of the most beautiful rooms in town. During the day it is a traditional tea room serving illy coffee, teapigs, cream teas and cakes. It then transforms in the evening to a candlelit wine bar serving delicious tapas, wine by the glass, jug and bottle. Cocktails are served in teapots and poured into vintage teacups with ice cubes in sugar bowls. Furnished with chapel chairs and reclaimed tables it has a very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. It is also dog friendly and Hebe, Dolly’s yellow Labrador, is a permanent fixture.

Wonderful Edwardian interior, enjoyed at night with some 1920s music in the background, we were hoping for a seance to top our evening off! There was no seance but the atmosphere was still excellent; friendly staff, great mix of customers and.....THE GIN!!!! Oh.My.Goodnes. Delicious variety on offer from all round the country and beyond, the best tonic (not a 'You... More

I would just like to say that we must have been served by the same person as the previous writer. Made us feel very unwelcome and it was supposed to be a treat. There was some really awful music playing for ages. A women with a shrill soprano voice and I thought it would never stop. The tables were not... More

We popped into Dolly's a few days ago for a cup of tea on our walk through Falmouth. We'd never been to the area before and the signs outside intrigued us so we went inside. After heading up the stairs past the quirky tea cup tree, we weren't sure where to sit and a lovely young waitress quickly cleared a... More

We were given a very warm welcome the minute we stepped into Dolly's..This being our first visit, we decided to try some of the wonderful gins on offer. They were indeed delicious, very inventive and beautifully presented. The restaurant was busy even though it was a Tuesday evening in late September. Unfortunately, we were unable to stay for dinner but we... More

Yes, cocktails in tea pots has been done - but rarely so charmingly and with such a lack of trying too hard to be trendy. We had a lovely lunch here, the scones were brilliant, and the cocktails were just right, and a good strength. Service was great, very warm and attentive, and when one of our number wanted to... A superb quirky town house in Falmouth with loads of gins and cocktails served in vintage tea pots. Great for drinks, lunch and supper. Really chilled and friendly

A slightly eccentric tearoom harping back to the 1950's at 21st century prices. Strange mix of mismatched furniture, bone china cups and teapots with a menu which contains an eclectic mix of dishes. We tried the cream tea which was perfectly good but I do prefer a homemade-type jam. £4 for 2off good (warm) scones and tea. Service was slightly... More

After some research into 'dog friendly' establishments I contacted Dolly to arrange birthday cake and cocktails for a group of 8 of us plus a small dog. After some communication with Dolly, who offered to make us a cake especially for the occasion, I decided to book for our whole evening meal. Dolly suggested that she would put on a... More

We stumbled upon this delightful establishment purely by chance when visiting Falmouth during The Tall Ships Race weekend recently. What a find and what a delight! Our first eating experience was mid morning. My husband had a wonderful homemade treacle slice with just a hint of lavender and an excellent pot of tea, whilst I had a superb hot chocolate... More

A really nice experience if a little pricey. We visited late in the afternoon and had to make do with tea, gin (in a splendid glass) and a couple of brownies. Service was routine but quality was good. The choice of gins was impressive.
