Dolly’s is a tea room and wine bar in the centre of Falmouth which opened in July 2011 in one of the most beautiful rooms in town. During the day it is a traditional tea room serving illy coffee, teapigs, cream teas and cakes. It then transforms in the evening to a candlelit wine bar serving delicious tapas, wine by the glass, jug and bottle. Cocktails are served in teapots and poured into vintage teacups with ice cubes in sugar bowls. Furnished with chapel chairs and reclaimed tables it has a very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. It is also dog friendly and Hebe, Dolly’s yellow Labrador, is a permanent fixture.

Proper tea and cake

Few people there during the afternoon. Young girls work hard to please the customers. We went as a group of 8 and all had either sandwiches and cake, tea or proseco. We had a lovely hour which worked out at £11 per head. Good value for money and lovely treat out with the girls.

What a wonderful find...love the decor, the service and the fabby high tea. Despite my hubby not loving tea, managed to get him (and our two dogs) to this lovely tea shop. Just the right amount for an early afternoon tea, they gave veggies nice sandwiches- gorgeous homemade scone (choice of fruit or plain) and great choice of tea. Sadly... More

The most extensive menu of gins I have ever seen. Choosing which one to have was tricky, so much so that we stayed a couple of hours and tried several. The staff were excellent, gave advice, and play a major part in the overall atmosphere. The selection of tapas was good. I shall definitely return.

Visited Dolly's tea rooms in March with my sister, absolutely loved it and cannot wait to come back!! The tea and homemade scones were perfect and I thought that the rose petals in the sugar was a great touch! Really great ambience, loved the pile of Elle Deco's and Vogues etc, next time would love to try the real food... More

A place to grow fond of, sorry we were there too few days to revisit. Homebake, teas in all sorts of cups and no two plates alike it seemed. Full of charm, including the two girls Dolly and ....sorry, I forget the other name. Seemed to be a fave with the students in town.

Called in on a wet day with friends from Holland. Clean and very nicely presented. All drinks served with proper china cups and saucers, no mugs or plastic/paper cups. A proper traditional tea, cakes etc were available should you fancy a cream tea. Very reasonably priced and came with a nice big pot of tea. The only drawback is the... More

Lovely welcome from stunning young waitress with a 50's appearance. Great tea and cake and though we didn't sample any of the gin cocktails we know many who have and they have been impressed. Hebe, resident dog came to say hello.

Thurs 26th Great Relaxed night out at Dolly's, delicious Tapas and a few wonderful new gins. Sloe gin and prosecco as a final nightcap. As hosts, Dolly and Hebe and the table staff are as good as it gets and you leave with a feeling that you've made new friends - especially if you're cornered by Hebe the pearl neclaced... More
