We have been a few times now and each time the food has been excellent. Good choice and is always some changes to the menu. The choice of beers are very good and well kept. The staff are very friendly and the whole place is very relaxed. Gorgeous views across the estuary to Flushing. All in all a great little... More

The pub looked great from outside and it made the most of its location and splendid views. Selected mussels/frites from a limited menu. The mussels were quite disappointing...very small and surprisingly tasteless. Chips were delicious though. I have to say, other plates being served around us looked fantastic, especially the meat, so maybe ours was a bad choice and bad... More

This restaurant was more of a bar with food, than a restaurant. We had a steak, and chicken & mushroom tagliatelle. Steak was pretty good, pasta ok. Skin was left on the chicken, not too pleasant, pasta well-cooked but a bit cloying as a dish. Tasted a bit of oxo, or strong stock flavour, and a bit salty. I didn't... More

I do wish Trip Advisor had a category between Average and Very Good! I'd rate this place as "Good"! This is my favourite pub in Falmouth and we always pop in when staying at our flat nearby. The atmosphere is usually good, especially on summer days if there is racing on the river as the view is worth the walk... More

I was pleasantly surprised by the food here, was expecting standard pub fayre and got some delicious sea food - very tasty fish cakes. Really lovely view and good beers. Friendly staff too.

Superb food, superb beer, and extremely nice service. If you are in town and want reliable food, it's the place to go.

Decided to call in for a Sunday roast but what a mistake.Ordered a beef and a pork and when it arrived it looked like a disaster on a plate. The veg had obviously been cooked for 12.00 and by later in the day was just limp slop that had been reheated. The meat was just average and who serves roast beef without... We had written off this pub some years ago as a noisy scruffy student dive. We only live about 500 yards away but had not been in for some years. It was great actually and had a nice friendly buzz with good attentive staff, good beers and wine. The big disappointment was the starter....why did they serve up terrible processed... More

The Boathouse is a proper pub with friendly staff eager to please and good food with a fine selection of real ale. Some of the space looks out over the sweep of Falmouth harbour, so be sure to get a seat there. Decor is eclectic and chosen by the landlord Nick, a larger than life figure. Well worth a visit

We visited The Boathouse on a Saturday evening and had a wonderful meal. The service was excellent, really friendly bar/waiting on staff, great selection of real ales for my discerning husband and lovely food. The highlight was by far the Garlic Prawn starter. I could've eaten it twice over - so tasty! Views are superb too!
