Nice Sunday lunch - great view

We went here recently as a family outing of six. We pre-booked for Sunday lunch in order to get the nice river view table and we certainly weren't disappointed with the view. Lovely pub occupying a fab elevated spot overlooking Falmouth harbour. Nothing fancy decor wise, but a great range of beers and cider, and a good array of typical pub fayre on offer. We received a friendly welcome and sat at a table in the main eating area. Our food was delicious with good portions we noticed on all the meals... More

Went with friends on a wet windy evening. Nice friendly staff. Menu limited which is good as it means food is being cooked from fresh. The deep fried squid at £8.00 was excellent and a huge portion. The plaice with mash and vegetables was absolutely delicious although not cheap at £16. Good pub food with a nice atmosphere.

A small pub that excels. I was working in the area and was looking for some tasty food, This time Iw as not disappointed. They obviously follow the simple method of a menu of a few items but cook them very well. I had a steak that was tender, tasty and cooked perfectly, My colleague ordered a handmade burger that... Had a fantastic lunch here, the food was excellent and full of flavour and well beyond what you would normally find in a pub and more along the lines of a higher end gastro pub. Service was also very good and very reasonably priced. At the top of the towns high street it also has wonderful views over the inner... More

We enjoyed having drinks here. The view was magnificent. The grandsons enjoyed the board games provided. The games kept them occupied while adults enjoyed the superb view and conversation.

We have been a few times now and each time the food has been excellent. Good choice and is always some changes to the menu. The choice of beers are very good and well kept. The staff are very friendly and the whole place is very relaxed. Gorgeous views across the estuary to Flushing. All in all a great little... More

The pub looked great from outside and it made the most of its location and splendid views. Selected mussels/frites from a limited menu. The mussels were quite disappointing...very small and surprisingly tasteless. Chips were delicious though. I have to say, other plates being served around us looked fantastic, especially the meat, so maybe ours was a bad choice and bad... More

This restaurant was more of a bar with food, than a restaurant. We had a steak, and chicken & mushroom tagliatelle. Steak was pretty good, pasta ok. Skin was left on the chicken, not too pleasant, pasta well-cooked but a bit cloying as a dish. Tasted a bit of oxo, or strong stock flavour, and a bit salty. I didn't... More

I do wish Trip Advisor had a category between Average and Very Good! I'd rate this place as "Good"! This is my favourite pub in Falmouth and we always pop in when staying at our flat nearby. The atmosphere is usually good, especially on summer days if there is racing on the river as the view is worth the walk... More
