Good beer good view

The atmosphere at the Boathouse is excellent with a good mix of people, local and visitors. The range and quality of beer is good and the staff are friendly. We haven't eaten here yet but the food as it is carried through looks excellent and there is plenty of it. The pub has a main bar and is then... read more

We were visiting friends in the area and thought it would be lovely to have a Sunday lunch roast in a nice pub. We Googled 'the best Sunday roast in Falmouth' and this place came up amongst a few others. We looked on their website and they describe their Sunday roast as follows, "They’re big and hearty and lovingly made... More

It's a small hike from the centre of town up the hill to get there but worth the trip. If it ever was a boat house there must have been some fun and games getting the boat up to it.. It serves food but we just went for drinks on the upper level deck from which there are great views... More

Came across this lovely pub last Friday evening while visiting from London. The food was beautiful I chose the mussels and I've never seen a portion so big in my life. They were outstanding very fresh and well presented. My friend had the steak and she enjoyed it. Despite being totally stuffed we managed to squeeze in some deserts and... More

Not sure if it was because it was a Monday but the menu was very limited. Three of us shared a pot of (main sized) mussels for starters - we had plenty. I opted for the steak it was very good and served with proper chips - always extra browine points - frozen ones should be banned! Only downside was... More

This was our local when we stayed in Falmouth for a week. Ate there on two occasions. Tasty food and plenty of it washed down with some excellent ales. A warm friendly bar with nice staff, only wish we could have sat outside but it was the coldest summer week I have experienced. Downside was the toilets which badly need... More

We asked for a window table and were delighted. Not the most comfy seats but the food and service were very good. Waitresses with a sense of humour a varied menu and cooked well. We will go again and take others. Thank you.

Went here on Father Day for Sunday lunch. Place rather scruffy and we were worried! Food took over an hour to arrive and when it came it was ok. Fortunately it tasted better than it looked. Still you pay for what you get and at £12 for a Sunday roast it was ok. Staff were nice, and views whilst eating... More

Apologies but as one of the busiest days of the year, hugely popular over 80 people booked in and as we only serve fresh roasts,we had to play catch up hence the delay.which we kept you abreast of and compensated you for. More

Having heard good stories, we paid it a visit. Wonderful view but food too heavy. Fish curries need to be light. Unable to finish it and fish overpowered by curry. Perhaps another choice would have been better
