We asked for a window table and were delighted. Not the most comfy seats but the food and service were very good. Waitresses with a sense of humour a varied menu and cooked well. We will go again and take others. Thank you.

Went here on Father Day for Sunday lunch. Place rather scruffy and we were worried! Food took over an hour to arrive and when it came it was ok. Fortunately it tasted better than it looked. Still you pay for what you get and at £12 for a Sunday roast it was ok. Staff were nice, and views whilst eating... More

Apologies but as one of the busiest days of the year, hugely popular over 80 people booked in and as we only serve fresh roasts,we had to play catch up hence the delay.which we kept you abreast of and compensated you for. More

Having heard good stories, we paid it a visit. Wonderful view but food too heavy. Fish curries need to be light. Unable to finish it and fish overpowered by curry. Perhaps another choice would have been better

Marvellous dinner and Sunday roast, exceptionally friendly staff and an Eldorado for beer (and whiskey) aficionados! Really enjoyed the atmosphere there and was never disappointed by the meals I selected. Of all the places I’ve visited accross Europe, the Boathouse holds a special place in my heart and I can’t wait to be back!

Probably the best food I've had in Cornwall (and the UK, for that matter), a first-rate daily selection of fresh and masterfully prepared dishes – not only sea food – at very fair prices. The restaurant's young chef is both talented and creative; I had dinner there on several occasions and it was always different, yet always superb. The landlord... More

great site overlooking the harbour and not too twee and touristy. Three of us took the recommended burgers and the best I've had in years. Staff were friendly and efficient which is always a good sign.

We've been coming here for years and it just gets better and better. An incredible lunch of simply amazing scallops, wicked sea trout with all the trimmings and for the kids sausage and mash with amazing onion gravy to die for Yumski or what! To add to that colouring books and games for the little people. Even our dogs were... More

I really like the Boathouse - great pub and great location, wonderful sea views. We had never been for Sunday lunch but thought we would try it out. For £12/person for one main course plate it seemed expensive but we hoped it would be special. The veg selection was very good and a full plate, but it was let down... More

Hello, Very shocked to hear that our famous Sunday Roast fell below your expectations, not sure if you made the staff aware so we could have helped,we served 145 roasts that Sunday which is about the norm here, hence our reputation for being one of the best,so can only re-assure you that we do buy the best meat from Cornwalls premier wholesale... We have had two great meals here this week. Beautifully cooked fresh fish and brilliant burgers on the Friday night. We have finally managed to be here on a Sunday and were able to indulge in a Sunday Lunch, which was as good as we had hoped for - if not better! Then last night we tested their new Prosecco...
