We have walked past this pub so many times but got told by a local to visit and so we did. Very small menu and so had my doubts but our meals were absolutely gorgeous, the views to die for and the service was terrific. The only place I have found so far where the staff can actually pour a... More

Having recently moved to Falmouth, we needed to find a new local. After extensive research (!) we have agreed the best one is only a few meters from our front door. The nicest bar tender by far (Tamar). Good choice of ales and wine. We've eaten here quite a few times now. Portions are generous and locally sourced. Try it... More

How I wish this was my local in Hampshire! The view is awesome, so much so a photo of the view is my iPhone background. Nick has it spot on as the landlord. Lovely atmosphere, great music and very nice range of beers, including Skinners and very local brews. The food is amazing and all of the fish dishes we... More

What a great find this pub was on our recent holiday in Falmouth. It is well worth the walk up the hill away from the town centre to experience the great view and terrific service from landlord Nick and his team. We ate here twice during our stay and on both occasions the meal was excellent. Our 5 & 2... More

Excellent find in Falmouth, very independent feel and we were warmly welcomed by the staff, great food cooked well and a great choice of beers and ciders. The views aren't bad either, a must go to place in Cornwall, can't recommend it enough.

Visited various Falmouth Restaurants this summer. The food at the Boathouse tops them all. Absolutely fantastic. The burger even beats the 5 Degress West legendary burger!

Went here for an early anniversary meal with my partner and it was lovely , beautiful views . If you want to sit by the window it is worth booking in advance. My partner has the burger with pulled pork and I had the chickpea burger without the bin and we really enjoyed them. Reasonable price for a large portion... More

Went for a Sunday roast this evening. Choice of meat/veggie options accompanied by really delicious veg... Petit pois with baby broad beans, new potatoes roast aubergine/courgette/squash... Indulgent desserts too, all reasonably priced. Had to wait for a while, but well worth it.

Situated at the top of a hill in Falmouth, getting to the Boathouse involves a good walk, but oh, when you get there! For one thing the views are superb. Amazing how even on a dull day the river looks beautiful from their windows. I visited last week with my boyfriend, who was very impressed with the range of ales... More

The "bonne mots" witty one liners written everywhere are perhaps overdone but the pub has a nice vibe. Stopped quite by chance as we were walking past the end of the road. It was about 1:30 so pub was almost deserted so had choice of nice seat with good view over the estuary. Service was fine. There is a great... More
