Popped in for a light lunch and were lured in by the offer of the best crab sandwich in town. We were not disappointed. Tasty salad alongside. Great friendly service. Bottled beer, would have rated the visit as excellent if it served cold draft beer.

We dropped in after narrowly rejecting close-by Rick Stein's restaurant for lunch, and we were jolly pleased we did. We had the 'Shack Stack' of a whole fresh crab, prawns, oysters, moules, crispy squid rings and frites - everything super-fresh and of course delicious! The waitress was very nice and helped explain how to tackle the crab dismemberment. In summary,... More

Just returned from Falmouth where we had the pleasure of visiting The Shack. Good all round experience. As my husband catches shellfish for a living we were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Very pleasant waitress, lovely atmosphere, French music being played (in the background), and good selection to choose from. We settled on whitebait, this was well presented and... More

We were visiting Falmouth for the Oyster Festival and on a previous visit had seen The Shack but had already eaten so we made a bee line for it this time. Hubby and I both love moules & frites so we had no trouble chosing, that said though the menu was great and could have been tempted by lots of... More

The crab sandwich at the shack is fabulous full of flavour and the brown meat pate is a must. We would highly recommend trying the shack if visiting Falmouth.

In town for 2 nights and wanted some real Cornish seafood.......and this delivered. Scallops & mussels of the highest quality. Good local ale. Smart service. Well priced. I did think of going to the Rick Stein restaurant but so glad I came here instead.

dined here on a sunday evening with my daughter, had the sharing platter of crab, oysters, scallops, mussels, squid rings & some chips. Really nice & very good value, shared a bottle of house plonk, which again was priced reasonably. Small restaurant, freindly efficient service. Very much recomend it.

Great food (mainly seafood), in bright, modern surroundings, not too big and no loud music! Excellent, helpful staff who were very knowledgable. Comfortable and welcoming for people on their own. You need to book!

A friend had recommended that we eat here of an evening - being big fans of another popular seafood restaurant in Falmouth we had put it off for a while in case we were disappointed, but, we were not! We opted for the 'Stack shack' -minus the oysters, and had the dressed crab for a little extra - well worth... More
