It's not often you get to eat in an African restaurant in Cornwall. I did not know what to expect at all and I should imagine that alot of people are tempted but then decide not to book for this exact reason. All I would say is do book. Do give it a try. I can't actually remember how to... More

We have visited this restaurant on several occasions, for both lunch and dinner, sometimes just us and other times with friends/family. Never disappointed, always a warm welcome, food is amazing, great atmosphere, service is always with a smile. NB - leave room for pudding ! Want to thoroughly recommend this beautiful little place to anyone coming to Cornwall on holiday... More

Don't worry, it was on the wall (a carving), not the menu! Popped in on spec for a quick bit of lunch and wasn't disappointed. A warm and friendly welcome from Carolyn (front of house) and yummy African tapas from Ian. Plus absolutely the best home-made Ginger Beer I've ever tasted (Zena said the same about the Pineapple Beer) -... More

Definitely going again, and would highly recommend. Great food, brilliant service. They go the extra mile and more, which is hard to find!!

lovely, tasty food, delicious cocktails including non alcoholic varieties and couldn't stop at just 2 courses! Food is more North and Southern Africa. Still delicious but I would like to see more East African meals - including posho (like sadza) and mashed matoke as an alternative! I would also like to see more non alcoholic cocktails, and ostrich biltong. Service... More

Been here quite a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is amazing and the owners and staff are some of the friendliest you will encounter. I recommend the bunny chow(i know right but its amazing) and the Espetada. Beef is cooked so well, I am drooling just thinking about it. Gonna have to try and come up... More

I visited here on a Sunday afternoon as the Caribbean restaurant was closed. Very nice Sunday lunch but will return to try the African menu another time.

Amanzi looks very tempting even from the outside with its colourful painted exterior. We were keen to sample it now that it is an African inspired eaterie. We were not disappointed! The place itself is light & airy with décor relating to Africa. Service was very good with the staff taking an obvious pride in their work. I chose the... More

Definitely, worth the visit. We have walked past this restaurant many times and have read the good reviews. We decided to go in for lunch on Sunday and were not disappointed. We had the South African tapas, which was delicious and the bunny chow ( the South African equivalent of Cornish pasty), which has a great history behind the meaning.... More
