Excellent food-interesting flavours and textures, ample portions. Everyone made to feel special by the front of house staff and it was pleasing the chef found time to check with customers about their choice on the menu. We cannot rate this establishment too highly.

The Waymarker is a superb restaurant in the countryside with lovely views and outside seating. The welcome is always warm and friendly and the food delicious and beautifully served. The portions are always generous and I have to admit that I opt for the smaller portion of Mains as it then allows me both the sumptuous starter and a dessert!

The Sunday lunch is great not just because of the great traditional roast, but because Kevin always has really tasty imaginative starters, and great fish alongside the main roasts. It's a cut above all other sunday lunches in terms of quality and rang. Also went midweek for a late lunch when friends turned up unexpectedly. They were surpised by the... More

This was truly the BEST cream tea we have ever had!!! The presentation was second to none, plenty of jam and cream (jam first in Cornwall!!) lovely fruit decoration and a choice of two different types of scones all very greedily demolished!! No supper that night!!! The service is excellent and the owners are so pleasant and polite and always... More

Visiting The Waymarker for their November 5th celebrations in 2013 was a special occasion. Beautifully cooked traditional cuisine, a fantastic hostess and a couple of fireworks bringing together local people for an evening to remember. Whilst many couples and groups of friends were enjoying the evening, our young family (kids aged 4 and 2) was made to feel equally welcome,... More

Excellent food at the Waymarker - and portions that must satisfy all! (Too large for me) Very friendly and helpful service. I'm sure that many people do not know of its existance since it is on the back road from Gweek to Flamouth. Well worth a stop or a detour

As we were literally staying 2mins walk from this place, it was rude not to go in and sample the food. We weren't disappointed at all. The menu maybe quite limited to some, but the quality of the food was without exception. The service was the best I had received while in Cornwall that week as nothing was too much... More

First visit but won't be the last! Delicious starters and roast dinners. Generous portions couldn't eat pudding too full - next time though. Menu varied and interesting and attentive service. Had the most heartwarming mulled cider too. Perfect!
