Sublime cream tea and magical forest!

We visited the Waymarker after a fantastic walk through the forest in Constantine, we live in Epping Forest but this walk rivals Epping and is an absolute must, it is magical. At the top of the woods, we found the Waymarker and had the most delicious cream tea ever! The kids added a hot chocolate... read more

We called in for cream tea & were amazed at the choice. I had only one, cinnamon flavoured which was luscious. my daughter had the chocolate which she adored then my son in law chose the muffletta, he ate it quickly & pronounced it very tasty. The lady serving was very accommodating & came round to see that all was... More

We went here for Sunday lunch. The portion size was good and the presentation excellent. I only have a couple of negative points and I accept they are both minor and a matter of taste. The roast potatoes lacked any crispiness and the horseradish sauce had been whipped into a smooth mix which rather lost the taste of horseradish. The... More

We enjoyed another delicious Sunday roast at the Waymarker today. It's a consistently good place to visit for quality food. We both chose the combo meal, a mix of roast pork and beef with the tastiest crackling I can remember. The desserts are different and too tempting to resist. Plan to return soon.

A delicious and beautifully presented meal. Although it could be described as simple food, it was of excellent quality and there were lots of unusual touches which lifted this meal to 5 stars. I wanted all of the puddings! Very friendly service - we will definitely be going back very soon! So glad we have discovered it - I cant... More

This was the first time that I had been to The Waymarker and it was for one of their Jazz and Afternoon Teas. Well we decided that we would have a late lunch so my companion ordered the Roast and I asked for their Beef and Reef...OH WOW!! Now the jazz was nice and relaxing but the food was absolutely... I've driven past here so many times, but last week finally went in following recommendation. We received a warm welcome from Rhiannon. We just wanted tea and cake. Rhiannon served the most delicious carrot cake my friend and I had ever had, and Guinness & chocolate cake! The cream topping on both looked v rich but was absolutely perfect. All... More

We are incredibly lucky to live within walking distance of this gorgeous cafe although it would definitely be worth a drive if we didn't! The food is always delicious from Roast dinners, seafood, salads to puddings. The only difficulty I ever experience here is making a decision from the tasty menu and yummy specials!! If you haven't found The Waymarker... More
