Crab-tastic!

This place is utterly amazing & a must for seafoodies. The menu is small - oysters, scallops, crab, prawns - cooked to perfection & served with bread, fries & salad. The staff are lovely. We'd had a very long drive and were exhausted when we arrived at this gorgeous restaurant at 9 pm, worried we'd be too late for dinner. Stepping through the door was like entering a different world, a beautiful cosy little restaurant, tucked down a tiny street near the harbour, absolutely packed (and no wonder). Smiling, welcoming angels producing wine within... More

This place doesn't have a website, it doesn't advertise, yet it's booked up to a month in advance....and I can see why. Lovely place, great atmosphere. Jack, who looked after our table was brilliant....but it's the food....amazing doesn't do it justice. We sampled everything...oysters to start, then scallops, prawns, mussels, brown crab...quality, fresh shellfish cooked to perfection...couldn't fault a thing.... More

Better than all the rest!!! From the warm welcome to the last mussel/prawn/scallop there is never a disappointment - won't stop going until it closes down - long may it remain!

A lovely welcome by the team at the Wheel house for our first visit. Beautiful food(brown crab/prawns) very nice wine & not crazy over priced like a lot of popular places. Great atmosphere, the team members couldn't do enough to make our special night even more special. Love the fact that there is no menu & it's just what's on... More

Visited here with the family recently and had a fantastic evening. The food is very simple - high quality local seafood with not too much on it to ruin it. The waitress we had was very friendly and sat down with us and explained the concept of the evening well. We decided on a mix of scallops, prawns and mussels... More

Had this place booked for over 2 months for my partners birthday. An absolutely incredible meal. Scallops, mussels, prawns and bread doesn't seem like a lot between two but huge portions and super tastey fresh ingredients make this place an absolute gem. Can't wait to go back and try the crab. It looked amazing! Mango sorbet to end the evening... More

In Falmouth with extended family for the weekend, and had dinner here on the Saturday night. Really impressed with the friendly staff, everyone who spoke to us was very chatty. It's a short menu, and an equally short wine list, but this place is all about doing a few things brilliantly. We had mussels, scallops, and prawns (with a few... More

Wife and i managed to get a last min booking and have to say this was a real treat, there were approx 10 options of shell fish, we had the Thai style prawns - to start - fab. Main courses were just as good. There are no airs and graces just good honest food from that days catch. The wheel... More
