This is a fantastic little shell fish restaurant. Don't go if you want anything else, but you really don't need anything else. We found it by reputation and it is well worth the wait to go. You really do have to book. Fantastic staff, lovely atmosphere. They really care about your meal and what they give you. If your staying... More

Believe all the other reviews - it's that good! If you love fresh shellfish cooked to perfection without being messed up by over complicated menus it is a must visit restaurant. No more to say really.

One of the best meals we have ever had. The food and the atmosphere were fantastic. We tried to book again for the next day, but they were full!

If you are in Cornwall or even Somerset or Devon make the journey to Falmouth and go to the wheelhouse! It's unbelievable! It not only serves some of the best seafood dishes I have ever eaten but the atmosphere and staff are so friendly and fun! It's a lovely small restaurant that is only open three days a week in... If you love expertly prepared shell fish, atmosphere, intimate seating, passionate & friendly staff and a place that really buzzes then this is for you! Beautifully prepared food selected from the blackboard with great advice from our server. No menus and no wine list but what is available is a unique experience. This restaurant thoroughly deserves it's number 1 rating.... More

Such a friendly welcome and the care taken that you understand what is on the menu and more importantly, how to eat if you are not used to the intricacies of crab picking. The thai mussels are tasty and with the fresh bread to dip, they make a cracking start to the meal. We will be back!!!

Dined in late May and had beautiful meal with lovely house white wine. Kids loved it, great atmosphere and service very friendly. I tend to book few months in advance to secure table whilst on holiday.

Never experienced anything quite like it; first impression is...what a small place...the staff are warm, genuine and friendly....they suggest with care....then the food....well lets just say you will not be disappointed, its seafood only by the way but prepared, cooked and presented perfectly. Love it from start to finish, the complimentary port from the 'duck' decanter is a very nice... More

You have to book a few weeks ahead to get a table, but eventually we managed it. Meals are in 2 sittings, we opted for the later one. Not for those who are claustrophobic - It was packed on the night we went, tables are close together so no good for private conversations!! Friendly informal atmosphere, staff very friendly and...
