I have tried to book a table in this restaurant each time we visit Cornwall, fortunately I remembered whilst booking our hotel and immediately booked us a table in May 2014 for our stay in July! Not a surprise to hear when booking that they only had the earlier sitting available - business rocks, and understandably so. We arrived five... More

We arrived in Falmouth on our little yacht from Fowey eager to enjoy one of the summer's warmest evenings. With fresh seafood and a sea view to match in mind we set off in search of the perfect spot and chanced upon The Wheel House tucked away in the back alley leading to the harbour side. Fully booked on a... More

I had to look around a little to find it. We were a party of 10, and the staff immediately took care of us. They put tables together and made it as comfortable for us as they could. The food was great, affordable 3 course meals this good is rare to find. And the atmosphere was great. Definitely going back.

You need to book this first then your holiday.. Book early so not to be disappointed, very rarely can you walk in and get a table.. Can't wait to come back!!!

This is a fantastic little shell fish restaurant. Don't go if you want anything else, but you really don't need anything else. We found it by reputation and it is well worth the wait to go. You really do have to book. Fantastic staff, lovely atmosphere. They really care about your meal and what they give you. If your staying... More

Believe all the other reviews - it's that good! If you love fresh shellfish cooked to perfection without being messed up by over complicated menus it is a must visit restaurant. No more to say really.

One of the best meals we have ever had. The food and the atmosphere were fantastic. We tried to book again for the next day, but they were full!

If you are in Cornwall or even Somerset or Devon make the journey to Falmouth and go to the wheelhouse! It's unbelievable! It not only serves some of the best seafood dishes I have ever eaten but the atmosphere and staff are so friendly and fun! It's a lovely small restaurant that is only open three days a week in... If you love expertly prepared shell fish, atmosphere, intimate seating, passionate & friendly staff and a place that really buzzes then this is for you! Beautifully prepared food selected from the blackboard with great advice from our server. No menus and no wine list but what is available is a unique experience. This restaurant thoroughly deserves it's number 1 rating.... More
