Firstly this cafe is right on a lovely beach so the view and activities are great. Food is excellent, all 3 courses were fresh and creatively served. Lively atmosphere, good service, a little slow but worth waiting for. The food is all affordable and good selection of drinks. Sit inside or out.

This modern restaurant / coffee stop /bar is a lovely place situated on the beach with an open veranda which can be protected from the rain and wind if need be. THe food is good and the staff pleasant and helpful.

How the Gylly Café managed to be one of the top eating destinations in 'Cornwall Today' I'm not sure. It has an enviable position but the food is average during the daytime when they get the biggest crowd. You have to queue to order, tell them your table number and then, if you want something else, you queue again. Not... More

I caught the train with my friend to Penmere today and followed the Penmere circular walk, we planned it and the Gylly Beach Cafe was our first recommended stop. It was a beautiful day and everything was going to plan. The Cafe itself was in a great position on the beach and the weather was perfect to people watch from... More

We visited this place on holiday with fanily and booked a table for 7 people. When we arrived there were only 6 chairs and so one of us had to be plonked onto the end very near another couple's table. Additionally after we sat down, the couple next to us complained that their puddings had taken too long and so... More

Although this is termed a 'cafe' and operates as a top class one in the daytime, in the evening it is more of a restaurant with food of such a high standard it can genuinely be classed as fine dining and in a relaxed, informal - but entirely professional - environment. My wife and I who had never been to... More

We had a table booked for my mums birthday as she loves the cafe. She lives an hour drive away with the rest of the family but is happy to travel all that way as they love the cafe and the food. I think it was the first night of the new spring menu and it didn't disappoint. The lamb... More

Having arrived in Falmouth, on the Friday evening, we walked to the Gylly beach cafe, for an evening meal. We hadn't booked a table, which didn't seem to be a problem, as they put two round tables together by the window, for us. The food was delicious, and plenty of it. Would recommend this place again.
