Having visited this little gem for the first time last week with friends, I can only agree with all the reviews which prompted our visit in the first place. Yes, we had to book about a week ahead, as we would expect at any good restaurant in Cornwall in the summer months, but it was well worth it. The atmosphere... More

Cannot praise this restaurant highly enough - it came out tops in every respect - gorgeous food, value for money, friendly and helpful service. This was a birthday meal and staff pulled out all the stops to make it a special evening. We booked well in advance as we heard it gets busy esp in the summer months. The food... More

This place really knows it's stuff. It's Oliver's never disappoints, it's all local, the food's lush and the family are lovely. Everything else is second best in comparison. Not poncy or pretentious, just perfect. Spoilt for choice and loads to like. Book first to bagsee a table and avoid disappointment x J

We try to eat at Oliver's whenever we visit Falmouth because it is just so good. Yes, do book in advance if you can as it gets very busy in the summer months and it's not a huge restaurant. Never been disappointed - either by the food or the lovely service. We're looking forward to our next visit already!

I'd say this was excellent - the waiting list for getting a table would indicate that - and people said so. Just be advised. In august it was booked up for over 10 days away - and it's not very big!

This is a lovely place to eat. The service is superb - really friendly and informal. They like young folk too, so my 13 year old son felt comfortable. My son had scallops with black pudding (gorgeous) and then fillet steak (he knows how to order the expensive stuff!) I had mackerel - delicately soused and serviced with a delicious... More

The food here is amazing and with a changing menu guaranteed fresh. Along with the food comes very good service and a friendly atmosphere. Booking in advance is recommended.

We have eaten here numerous times over the past few years for dinner or lunch and it always delivers. Its very difficult to get in for dinner however so pre booking at least a week in advance seems the way to go. Lunch is often easier to get a table but it is a fairly small place. Highlights include the... More

The minute you walk in Wendy makes you feel special. Ok, she knew it was our wedding anniversary, but she made us feel welcome, and totally relaxed. The food was superb, a complimentary taster, fish cooked to perfection in different and clever ways fusing tastes and textures in interesting ways. Dessert was a decadent delight! Thank you chef Ken for... More
