Light crispy golden batter...chunky crisp chips...proper mushy peas...friendly helpful staff...clean bright surroundings with a lovely view...average prices for quality food...the list goes on. Don't know what the 'downers' are talking about..it's just 'The Best'.

I had to have Fish and Chips when in Falmouth, so decided to have a take away supper as the restaurant was very busy. The food was good, but i had had better, the service was a little slow probably because it was so busy, but the place looked clean, organised and had a great view out of the back... More

The food is very nice and is among the best fish and chips i have had, but there is making a profit and ripping people off (ie jumbo sausage to take out £1.80 but to sit and eat in £7.25) How can you justify adding £5 to each item just to eat in, no waiter earns this much, just your... More

Hello! Thank you for reviewing us on trip advisor. Not a big thank you for the stated falsehoods about our pricing, or the decidedly swift attack on my character. For example - We sell a single jumbo sausage for £1.70 on our takeway (not £1.80 as you falsely claim). A single jumbo sausage in our restaurant is £2.40. £7.25 in... More

I treated my wife to this establishment as she loves fish and chips. I love fish but not batter but after a friendly reception that was no problem and I was provided with pan fried lemon sole which was beautifully cooked. Attentive service and a very happy wife. Whilst I usually would avoid "Fish and Chip" shops I would definitely... More

Late lunch, but staff warmly welcomed us, despite the cold day, the window with views seats were as warm as the welcome. One famous five meal, ( cod, chips, bread and butter, unlimited tea and the nicest mushy peas I've had for ages) and one haddock and chips. The latter reviewed as the best haddock for years!

Have just been back after having a lovely meal a year ago. This time was very disappointed as the chips were hard and my wife and I had very thin watery fish with thick slimy batter. Great views but disappointing food and £37 for 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals was very steep for fish and chips. Would I... More

Hello, and thank you for reviewing us on tripadvisor! Apologies for a less-than-stellar experience. We certainly don't aim for people to come in and have a bad time, quite the contrary - something I hope our other reviews on tripadvisor would show, but unfortunately not in this case. If there was a problem with your food, or something about it... More

Straight forward fish and chips but nicely cooked. We ate in and enjoyed a simple unfussy atmosphere, pleasant staff, good service. My only regret (hence the poor score) was ordering Plaice to be told there was none so we said two Haddock only to be told there was only one piece left so it was just Cod or meat pies.... More

Hello, thank you for reviewing us on tripadvisor! You are absolutely right. We've obviously did not keep up with demand on Monday night, and I will work on correcting this in the future. It's sometimes difficult because while we have lots of cod available at all times, supply of Cornish Haddock and Plaice isn't quite as straightforward as I would... More
