Graduation celebration with our daughter and her fellow graduates and there families. The setting at Maenporth is very special sea view to die for. The greeting was so very friendly and we soon were sat down enjoying our guests company a truly great place. The food was definitely up there with some of the best, Fresh very pleasing to the... We visited the Cove on a Tuesday evening whilst on a weeks holiday in the area. We arrived at around 7:30pm and hadn't booked a table in advance. We were told we would have an hour and a quarter wait even though the restaurant didn't appear overly busy.We sat in the bar area and ordered a couple of drinks and... More

A lovely venue and do try to get a table in the “glass house”, for perfection, if you can. Aperitifs on the veranda with perfect ‘Doombar’ and noteworthy G&T’s. Good starters, the Pollack exceptional. Lovely pork loin, sole and steaks show the chef have a good touch. Save room for the chocolate and caramel tart - sailing into the sunset... More

We had dinner at the Cove on Friday evening & what a treat it was! We booked a table in the glasshouse (best part of the restaurant in my opinion) overlooking the beach. The meal was superb, we all tried different starters, mains & puddings and we were not disappointed, the scallops starter, the sole & lobster main and the... More

I note almost all the other reviews of The Cove are outstanding or excellent so I caveat my review by saying everything in life is relative, in this case to personal taste. We ate here whilst staying in St Mawes during a week's holiday in Cornwall. The location of the Cove is outstanding...looking down over an unspoilt beach and cove.... More

I have been to the Cove many times over the years and again this was fantastic. I took some family who were visiting and they said it was the best meal out that they've had in Cornwall. (I've been here 10 years so that say's it all really). Can't wait for the next visit.

We chose to dine here as recommended on the camping site website where we were staying . Booking was simple on-line . The restaurant was a walking distance along a bridle path to the beach. from the site. We were quickly quickly welcomed and served with a drink promptly . I am not a great lover of fish so chose... Fabulous restaurant with high standard of food and service. Not an extensive menu but all high quality and very flavoursome food. A little expensive but worth every penny. You will not be disappointed.

Found this resturant by accident while holidaying in Cornwall, but what a little gem, great views and a nice location, great food and very friendly staff.
