Me and my fiance went here for Sunday lunch today based on the high scoring on Trip Advisor. The food was ok but the Combermere Arms between Audlem and Whitchurch is a lot better and higher quality in our opinion and still our favourite place to go. more

The first thing we noticed was the relaxed atmosphere, which remained throughout a very busy Saturday evening. Attentive waitreses (plenty of them) served the delicious food with a friendly manner. Lots of choice on the menu will definately be returning and have recommended to family and friends. more

I have visited the G&D several times both for lunch and evening meals. Always had good service and the food is amongst the best pub fare in Cheshire, and I've sampled a lot! Friendly and helpful staff complement the relaxing ambience. I'll definitely be going back for more. more
