I have been wanting to visit here for ages as I'd heard such good things. Went last night with the girls and it was fabulous! A lovely warm welcome from our waiter and we were shown to our table by the window. This place is quaint, quirky and has a fantastic atmosphere. The food was delicious, we all had 3... More

.....because by now I would be broke! We go to the Sticky Walnut as often as can we, as that is never often enough. The place itself is nestled in one of Chesters' nicest suburbs, the interior is fantastically informal, the staff are by far and away the best I have ever come across; they know you after your second... This Bistro was recommended to me by a colleague who lives nearby and visits often. We arrived and was met by a warm welcome and at once knew we were going to enjoy the experience. Nice atmosphere, bistro decor, reminded me very much of the small bistro cafes of Paris. Knowledgeable and professional waitress who explained the menu, very impressed... More

Good range of menu choice including a great range of wines. I visited yesterday and chose to have the lamb, which comes served pink and is perfectly cooked! All food on the plate complimented the lamb well and desserts were pretty good too! Will definately be visiting more often. Worth a visit!

Didnt really want to go, anniversary, pushed into it my the wife, didnt like the look of the menu, pretty pricey, read the few bad reviews on Trip, fancied a pizza up the road with a few beers. Big mistake. Possibly the best food I've eaten out. I really couldnt fault any of it and my wife felt the same... More

Haven't been to your restaurant, so perhaps this won't get posted, but just wanted to say; "Well Done! " on your responses to the idiotic reviews that you were subjected to below. . Excellent, professional, but standing your ground and defending the industry's corner brilliantly. Bravo!

This was my third visit to the Sticky Walnut over the last year or so and I am pleased to say that the quality of the food and service has continued to be excellent. This really is a gem of a place and it is particularly reassuring to know that you are unlikely to be disappointed. There is a great... More

We went here on a Thursday evening, the restaurant was busy and had great atmosphere. We both had starters and main and a lovely bottle of Red. The food was lovely and the service was great! I will definitely visit again, in fact booked in to take some friends soon.

Not much to add from the majority of previous reviews. This place is absolutely brilliant from the atmosphere to the service and, most importantly, the food. I could wax lyrical all day but what i was most impressed with was the service and specifically, the waitresses knowledge of the wine list. She was clued up and passionate and that makes... More
