Great place, lovely food and great ambiance... however I drove round for half an hour looking for parking!.... £6-00 in the Chester station car park....that's all I could find in the end :-( Food was fab, I had a glass of Fizz, I was sorely tempted by the baked pear, however thought it wise to order a main and if... Went the first time as it was more or less on the way back from the office to the hotel and it was late. Had passed earlier in the day and thought it'd be a decent place for a coffee or lunch. After having a meal there I pretty much went back the next day as the meal and service... More

Went for lunch here with some work colleagues, all agreed it was nice food, but overpriced for a sandwich and soft drink. It was quite empty so service was good and food came quickly. Might go again but not my first choice

Have eaten and had drinks here a couple of times, cocktails and puddings are excellent, main food menu is also very good, have always ended up having rather a lot of cocktails here, so the food has always tasted really good! Would come back here again and again. Nice atmosphere, a rustic feel inside!

Arrived on a busy Friday night and staff found us a table very quickly. Have lived in chester for 5 years and can honestly say it was one of the best meals we have had. I had belly pork on puy lentils and it was amazing. My husband and son had pizzas and thoroughly enjoyed them. For starters we had... More

Visited here with friends on a girls weekend. It was so good we started and ended our evening there and both times were equally as good. We were welcomed by really friendly bar staff and made to feel nothing was too much trouble. The food and wine was really good and set us up well for our pub crawl around... More

We had a family meal here and had the 2 course sunday special menu. The choice was good but unfortunately the menu didn't include a vegetarian gluten free option for the main meal. On speaking with the chef and colleagues in the kitchen we quuickly came up with an option that suited. When all the food arrived (all together and... More

Three of us ate here last week. We had booked a table, just as well as it was full. A warm welcome from the staff, glasses of water appeared quickly and our drinks order taken. Our meals were delicious and beautifully served. Would go again and highly recommend.

What a fab little bistro on the canal. Went twice in two days, firstly with a friend, then the next day in a family and friends group aged 6months to 80 years! Great ambience. Have to say food was better on the first visit in terms of food presentation but tasted fantastic on both visits. We had the breakfasts on... More

Went for Sunday lunch with 4 friends that were visiting, and the food I have to say was faultless (apart from the black treacly sticky toffee pudding sauce but that is a personal preference). However, it was let down by the service. The first thing that happened was that when we sat down a bottle of mineral water and glasses... More
