Lovely meal

A great restaurant with a great menu - I had the Hake fillet and my boyfriend had the steak. Both cooked to perfection with stacks of flavour. Decent sized portions too. The best Gin menu I've ever seen too! Over 100 Gins!! Will definitely go back 😊

The seats in this Bistro were somewhat unusual more like garden chairs. The menu wasn't marvellous, a very limited choice and the meals we had were served lukewarm, maybe this was because the Bistro itself was cold, it didn't appear to be heated at all. The ladies toilets were filthy with the only toilet roll being on the wet floor.... More

Why a charming restaurant/bar. Loved our non alcoholic cocktails and bake well tart dessert. The staff are very friendly and the food being served to other customers looked delightful. Highly recommended........

A relaxed and casual atmosphere in attractive surrounds. The staff make you feel welcome. and nothing too much trouble. The menu has interesting, innovative food and classic dishes, all prepared with care and interest. The coffee is really good too.

Delicious food, great choice on the menu. Excellent service, friendly helpful staff. I'm sure it would be lovely in the summer to sit outside by the canal. Will definitely be coming back.

Had lunch here New Year's Day 2016. Easily got a table and efficiently served by knowledgeable staff. Large open space with plenty room between tables so if you have kids/pushchairs no problems . Varied menu with pizzas, soups and steaks along with other interesting dishes. Titanic stout to go with meal very good. All our food was well cooked and... More

The staff are so great. Amazing place, amazing team. Well done you guys. I don't know how those 16 bad reviews came along. I suppose you can't please everyone. There are always going to be 'those people' but the lamb Henry was so good. The staff were brilliant and we will Definitely be back.

A friend of mine organised my birthday meal for me at the Artichoke. My pheasant and duck confit were nice enough, the marmite potatoes my friends ordered suitably weird and the chickpeas side dish rather interesting, but what really made the night for me where the cocktails. We tested them very thoroughly and that might have somewhat interfered with my... More

We decided to give the premier inn breakfast a miss and sought out this place along the canal side. We were there shortly before opening but provided with great coffee whilst we waited for the kitchen to get going. Lots of choice on the breakfast menu and my scrambled egg with mushrooms and pancetta was delicious. My partner's butter bean... More

I went to this place with a group of business people from Canada. It was picked by our consultant who knows his restaurants. After a very busy week and almost at the end of our "journey", this was a nice change of pace to come to a more gastro pub if you will. Everyone loved the spot next to the... More
