Love it

Great friendly staff, fantastic location and a really nice place to wind down the week or start the weekend off! Shall be in later tonight with my better-half.

Large table of us booked a meal at 6 pm and were asked to leave by 8.30 pm as table was needed. Not a problem. On arrival our drinks order was taken by very friendly, helpful staff. Looking at the menu we discovered that everything was expensive, the starters beyond belief!! We therefore shared bread and olives which were tasty.... More

2nd time we have visited and both times have been amazing. All the food has been the best we have had in any restaurant! Lovely relaxed atmosphere but with attentive staff who are not 'in your face' but helpful. If we stay in Chester again would definitely make this our first choice restaurant to book! The sea bream and lamb... More

I visit the Artichoke fairly frequently with my girlfriend. It's amazing..... Atmosphere is great - just a chilled out, quirky little restaurant. Service is great. Really relaxed, not too 'in your face' and very accommodating. Food - Too die for (Best Sunday roast in Chester by far!) no matter what I've ordered it always been very tasty, well made and... More

Came here with the better half for Valentine's Day and we weren't disappointed. Great food, great staff and great atmosphere. Lovely place to come for a special occasion. May be slightly expensive to come here every week but the food is well worth the money you pay.

Highly recommend! Visited for a cuppa and a scone around midday. Service and the quality of food was excellent so we ended up going back in the evening for dinner. The lamb was the best I have ever tasted. My boyfriend had the pork belly which was also exceptional. The service was very good, the meat and cheese platter and... More

We have enjoyed brunch here a few times, and it is nice that they serve breakfasty-type foods until 3pm, as sometimes you feel like eggs or similar. Have had the vegetarian breakfast, which is very nice, not too much food, but a nice taste of various portions of eggs, tomato, dough balls, mushrooms and spinach. Scotsmans Porridge is filling, honey... More

We called with our son for a late Sunday Dinner. 3 courses were excellent value, lovely sweet potato soup, Beef with Yorkshire pud and a great selection of veg, and my personal favourite the jam rolly poly. Wholesome, simple, tasty dishes, priced competitively and backed up with relaxed friendly service. Well worth a visit!

we only popped in for a drink to finish the night bite we were really looked after. Chairs were found for us to sit down and glasses cleared swiftly. Massive choice of gin here and fancy beers, knowledgeable staff and they even phoned our taxis for us. Really nice place.
