Nurses night out

Monthly meet up with friends decided to give the Greyhound a try. Very friendly welcome food was very good. I can highly recommend the beef stew and dumplings with dauphinois potato even used my bread roll to make sure I had captured all the gravy. Will definitely be returning soon

Don't no what is happening to this place. Used to be a lovely girl who managed the pub and a good but young head chef the food was always amazing if the price slightly high. Now seems they have lost there chef went to eat Sunday to find the place was not serving food. Had a drink at the bar... More

Hi Lucy We are really sorry you turned up to find we are not serving food. Unfortunately, we have had both quality Chef and appliance failure issues, which have now been resolved. Over the last few months we have been providing excellent quality food, with a modern Great British style, to which we have had many excellent feedbacks. If you... More

Great surprise from hubby who took me to my very favourite restaurant for my birthday. Although it was five stars previous, except for slightly slow service on occasions, it's now six stars. New manager (same company) explained his vision for the future, not just to us, but other diners also. I found this really helpful, and most importantly the food... More

Visited early evening with family. Unhelpful and disinterested young bar staff. Food was simply appalling. Fish and chips were burnt! Chef seen to wander outside for a break during the food prep.

Hi David I'm really sorry for your experience with us. We are currently in a transition to find a suitable and quality chef, to which I think we have solved. If you visit again, please ask for me and I will ensure all is excellent. Kind regards Martin More

This place is ideal for locals getting home from a hard day at work who want someone else to do the cooking for the night. Good quality, fresh, home cooked food. Menu is reasonable and the weekday deals are even better. I'm a fussy eater and would happily eat here every day of the week.

Found the Greyhound by chance as was staying at a nearby hotel on business. Eating on your own is never the most exciting of things but found food to be excellent, not only tasty but presented very well, the staff also made me feel very welcome. The new manager/landlord particularity made an effort taking the time to sit down and... More

Met up with son and daughter in law. Small typical village inn. Cost, comfy atmosphere, bar staff very pleasant and helpful. We ordered carrot and coriander soup, family ordered sandwiches. Soup delicious and sandwiches enormous. Very tasty too. Good value pub grub, selection of 5 local Cheshire ales.

We had our Christmas office party on Christmas Eve, and our family gathering on Boxing Day.... The pub looked lovely and Christmassy from both the outside and the inside. Lovely tree and lots of decorations. It made us feel great before we even started the food and drink. Quite busy, excellent food and service, with a special mention for both... More

We found the greyhound by chance and thought it looked nice from the outside. The food is of a good standard; I had the bubble and squeak starter and pork three ways for main. The food was well presented, although the wait was a little longer than usual, but, it was quite busy and appeared to be only one chef... More

Hi legalmiss86 Really sorry that you were not entirely satisfied, but we have done a fair amount since your visit - decorated inside, new and better chefs, as well as much more. All toilets should be much better. Please call again and ask for me, so I can personally help make your visit 100% satisfactory. Kind regards Martin More
