Group of 8 visited Saturday evening for a second sample of the new menu and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious! I can recommend the Ox cheek which I had on our first visit or the Salmon which I had last night. The home made tomato and basil soup was first class. Service was excellent. Hope locals and... More

Went on Sunday for lunch , had mushroom starter which tasted lovely. Slightly strange that it was accompanied by a ramikin of coleslaw and a very sorry looking handful of half dead salad leaves. The Sunday lunch took 45 mins to appear which was a surprise as we were sitting on our own in the food part of the pub... More

Visited twice now with the new menu. Great to see our village pub serving top class dishes. I can recommend to start Thai fishcakes which were plentiful and delicious, the local mushrooms were lovely. For main the stuffed chicken on a gorgeous bed of ratatouille, the pie of the day was delicious and the ox cheek was full of flavour... More

Our last visit made during the previous owners' time here was marred by dreadful service. Service this time was excellent. The food was good and portions generous. At £6.95 for the main course and £2 for starters and desserts it was good value for money. The only quibble I would have is with the price for soft drinks - Coke... More

We had a family meal here for Father's Day. The Sunday roast was delicious and tasted like proper home cooked food. At £9.95 for two courses you can't complain - and believe me I can complain with the best of them when service or good is poor! I think some of the negative reviews are pretty harsh. Then again, would... More

Haven't been here in years and aware it has changed ownership/management several times but went here on the Sunday 25th April, I was in a party of 3 adults and a four year child. We arrived around 4pm and where the only people in the restaurant, which wasn't an issue at all. We had asked the waiter to bring out... More

Called here for lunch on a beautiful sunny day. Initial impressions were disappointing but because the Greyhound had been recommended by someone who had visited it before, albeit 18 months ago, decided it probably wasn't a reflection of the food so decided to give it a try. How wrong we were! Considering we were in the midst of a hot... More
