Went here for a late lunch earlier in the week after reading the Tripadvisor reviews. Our waitress was very friendly. Best lasagne I've tasted in ages. Fed up with lasagne that looks like soup. Definitely would go back next time I'm in Chester

Really hit the spot after a long trip of driving and too many pub meals. I ordered some wine and the lasagna with salad. Just what I needed and the service was very friendly. Many restaurants in the area were too busy and I had just come from one that had been very unfriendly so this was a very refreshing... More

Went here for a catch up lunch with my brothers. Waitress was slow with drinks and when I asked for some water she brought 4 glasses for the 6 of us and slammed the jug down without saying anything. Would it kill her to smile? Food came quickly, like warm and very average. When she took our plates she didn't... More

Hi Sarah, Seems like we've really messed up on all fronts and fell way below our usual high standards on the day of your visit. For this on behalf of the whole Atina team I would like to apologise. Gf and i popped in for a drink and they were lovely to us even though we just had two cups of coffee. Would definitely come back again for the food! The menu did have burgers which I thought strange for an italian influenced restaurant, but the rest of the selection looked appetising.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to write a review. Really glad you enjoyed your visit. On the menus and throughout Atina is does explain where our inspiration for our food comes from. We love Italian cooking styles and techniques (and this is the main basis of our cooking) but we also take inspiration from many different countries and... More

Nice, quiet restaurant. The menu was on the small side but starters, main meals and desserts were all delicious. Very reasonably priced also.

Thanks for the positive review. It sounds as if you had our Thursday / Friday evening special ( 2 courses and half a litre of wine for £ 17.95 ) where the menu is a bit more restricted than normal but still the same great freshly cooked taste - glad you enjoyed it More

We popped in for some lunch on a tuesday and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive despite struggling somewhat with a table of ten people! The service was a little slow because of this but staff were very apologetic and did their best. Over all a good experience and we would definitely... More

Yes , we are very sorry about the slower service that day . We cook everything from fresh so it always does take a bit longer but Tuesday was exceptional. Business is picking up a bit on last year and we have manned up accordingly but we never expected to more than double last years daily takings on a Tuesday,... More

As a coffee aficionado I'd sussed out promising cafes and restaurants before visiting Chester, this one came up and I wasn't disappointed. Lovely coffee (though small cup so felt I needed two), attractive decor, and only on visiting the loo did we see a back room. They also have a garden, which I'd be keen to visit again. Interesting menu... More

always good to hear from a fellow aficionado thanks. We use Segafredo Zanetti which we really think is "the works" - glad you enjoyed it too. Thanks also for the "charming setting " comments, being a family owned and run restaurant our daughter designed the interior ( with a bit of help from her brother) so it is truly unique... More

Went to this restaurant with a friend a couple of weeks ago and we were pleased we made this choice. We usually go into the main town but decided to explore in a different direction and we were delighted to chance upon this place. Lovely friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. We both had the omelets with a choice of 2 fillings... More

I really like this place and have been a few times now. I've had breakfast and lunch there and both were lovely and good value for money. The staff are always polite and friendly. Will definitely be back again soon!
