Walking past this restaurant on the way back to the hotel I was lured in by the amazing cakes. The variety was exceptional and they all looked scrumptious. The only down side was not having enough room to try them all. Good offer on a cake and a slice of cake. Lots of customers and lots were ordering to take... More

Ten of us all had lovely breakfasts. The poached eggs were excellent bit hen again it all was. I need a set of those plates with handles they use they are ace. The selection of cakes and teas were also excellent. Service was good and it was reasonably priced.

A notch above a greasy spoon. Food was ok but they need to watch their ingredients for flavour, Egg mushrooms and bloomer all a bit bland. Sorry but a poor weak coffee too. A clean cafe on the right track.

It was pleasing to find this place almost next to the hotel and even better to see the lovely courtyard garden at the back. The furniture, decor and homemade cakes illustrate its Swiss origins and NHS staff also get a 10% discount, which they kindly gave to my whole group, not just me. Some strange pricing, though, eg most coffees... More

We often dine here for lunch when shopping in Chester. Today was race day but despite this we got a table immediately. The food is always lovely and the cake selection is superb. The children's menu is a little uninspiring but they are always happy to accommodate our requests. Service is always good and they provide proper colouring books for... More

Great for snacks - tea, coffee and cakes always good. Never yet tried the lunch menu, but selection looks promising, so will sample this one day soon. We popped in for iced coffee one very hot morning this week and it was divine! Served in a mini 'milk bottle', it was creamy, frothy and had a beautiful coffee flavour to... More

The food was excellent but this cafe was let down by the extremely poor service. The waitress was rude, did not smile and then went on the start talking about us whilst we were sat nearby! I was absolutely disgusted about this. Other waiting staff then came out of the back/kitchen for a 'look' at us! Would not recommend this... More

What an excellent place to visit for lunch! We often eat here when shopping in chester. The cakes and sandwiches are always yummy. Often busy at lunch times, which reflects how good this place is! The staff are always pleasantly friendly, and service is consistently good. Would recommend anyone to try!

Looking for a different breakfast, we went here for Fresh fruit salad, no tinned fruit in site, all prepared as we waited. We followed with Eggs Benedict with fresh asparagus and coffee. Set up for the day!
